求张THE ROCK的海报大图

关于穿帮的解释:

Continuity: The number of F-18s headed toward Alcatraz varies between four, five and six.

老外发的,我一步步 步进着数过,确实如老外所说.:D

但是老子的红光鲨因为步进次数太多左键挂掉了...

不好意思楼上,可以翻译成中文么?我英文实在太差

-------------------------------------THE ROCK---------------------------------
1
00:00:43,174 --> 00:00:47,110
- [Gunfire]
- [Man #1 Over Radio] We can't hold out much longer, sir.
2
00:01:14,372 --> 00:01:17,307
General Hummel, you've got to get us out of here now!
3
00:01:17,375 --> 00:01:20,538
[Hummel] I won't let you down.I won't let you down, son.
4
00:01:26,518 --> 00:01:29,214
Goddamn it, sir!How long do we have to wait?
5
00:01:29,287 --> 00:01:31,653
I've lost 15 men already!
6
00:01:31,723 --> 00:01:34,487
[Man # 2] Sir, they're lighting us up like a firestorm!
7
00:01:34,559 --> 00:01:37,722
This is Gen. Hummel. You gotta get my men outta there!
8
00:01:37,796 --> 00:01:40,492
[Man #3] We don't have clearance to go behind enemy lines, sir.
9
00:01:43,335 --> 00:01:46,327
[Man #1] They're not comin' for us,are they, sir?
10
00:01:54,579 --> 00:01:57,104
[Hummel] Congressman Weaver and esteemed members...
11
00:01:57,182 --> 00:02:00,208
of the Special Armed Services Committee...
12
00:02:00,285 --> 00:02:03,686
I come before you to protest a grave injustice.
13
00:02:12,630 --> 00:02:15,793
Aim!
14
00:02:15,867 --> 00:02:18,165
[Hummel] It has to stop.
15
00:03:02,514 --> 00:03:05,684
I miss you so much.
16
00:03:14,492 --> 00:03:17,723
There's somethin' I've gotta do, Barb.
17
00:03:17,796 --> 00:03:20,526
Somethin' I couldn't do while you were here.
18
00:03:20,598 --> 00:03:22,532
I tried.
19
00:03:22,600 --> 00:03:27,697
You know I tried everything,and I still don't have their attention.
20
00:03:29,507 --> 00:03:32,340
Let's hope this elevates their thinking.
21
00:03:34,345 --> 00:03:36,279
But whatever happens...
22
00:03:38,083 --> 00:03:40,517
please don't think less of me.
23
00:04:01,706 --> 00:04:04,573
[Men Panting, Grunting]
24
00:04:22,794 --> 00:04:27,163
Marine! Inform the garrison C.O. That Gen. Hummel's coming on board...
25
00:04:27,232 --> 00:04:28,893
with a security inspection team.
26
00:04:28,967 --> 00:04:30,559
Yes, sir.
27
00:04:30,635 --> 00:04:33,502
Sir, it's an honor having you, sir.
28
00:05:01,666 --> 00:05:03,964
Ya know, at least we can get some...
29
00:05:22,554 --> 00:05:26,650
I got the access card. We got 30 minutes 'til those darts wear off.
30
00:05:26,724 --> 00:05:28,658
Move it!
31
00:05:32,397 --> 00:05:34,331
The access card, sir.
32
00:05:36,634 --> 00:05:38,625
Let's do it.
33
00:05:38,703 --> 00:05:41,001
[Beeping]
34
00:05:43,408 --> 00:05:46,343
2400 magazine check.
35
00:06:00,592 --> 00:06:03,152
Man, it's wet out there.
36
00:06:03,228 --> 00:06:05,753
Check me through, will ya?
37
00:06:07,098 --> 00:06:10,226
[Men Grunting, Groaning]
38
00:06:14,339 --> 00:06:16,899
[Assailant] Clear!
39
00:06:43,101 --> 00:06:45,729
- I want 16, Major.
- [Major] Move it!
40
00:07:04,322 --> 00:07:07,485
[Grunts]
41
00:07:12,297 --> 00:07:16,028
Evac! Seal the door!
42
00:07:16,100 --> 00:07:18,432
- [Man] No, no, no!
- [Major] Come on, man, seal it!
43
00:07:18,503 --> 00:07:21,097
No-o-o!
44
00:07:23,107 --> 00:07:25,837
Lemme outta here! Oh, God! Lemme outta here! Oh, God!
45
00:07:25,910 --> 00:07:28,037
Lemme outta here! God!
46
00:07:28,112 --> 00:07:31,206
Clear out.Get outta here!
47
00:07:32,283 --> 00:07:35,446
[Pained Gasping]
48
00:07:35,520 --> 00:07:40,014
- [Gasping] Please!
- Sorry.
49
00:07:43,194 --> 00:07:45,162
[Gurgling]
50
00:07:47,398 --> 00:07:49,332
Let's move out.
51
00:08:00,945 --> 00:08:03,345
[Technician] Two more CCs of acetylene chloride.
52
00:08:06,050 --> 00:08:08,746
That'll be five dollars,Isherwood.
53
00:08:08,820 --> 00:08:11,584
You suck.
54
00:08:11,656 --> 00:08:13,886
[Phone Ringing]
55
00:08:19,297 --> 00:08:21,765
You guys have too much time on your hands.
56
00:08:21,833 --> 00:08:25,166
She's here. Bring it to me now. Thank you, Phil!
57
00:08:25,236 --> 00:08:27,796
What's that? Why'd you get it sent here?
58
00:08:27,872 --> 00:08:32,832
Carla wouldn't approve. She thinks it's dumb to spend $600 on an L.P.
59
00:08:32,910 --> 00:08:37,347
Carla's right. Why don't you just spend $13.00 on a CD, man?
60
00:08:37,415 --> 00:08:39,542
First of all,it's because I'm a Beatlemaniac.
61
00:08:39,617 --> 00:08:41,949
And second, these sound better.
62
00:08:42,019 --> 00:08:44,715
- [Alarm Blaring]
- Could be serious.
63
00:08:44,789 --> 00:08:47,121
Could be sarin gas.
64
00:08:49,527 --> 00:08:52,325
Dog out at J.F.K. Caught a whiff of something in this package...
65
00:08:52,396 --> 00:08:54,330
postmarked to a Bosnian refugee camp.
66
00:08:54,398 --> 00:08:57,265
It could be detergent;it could be sarin gas.
67
00:08:57,335 --> 00:08:59,269
Bosnian refugee camp?
68
00:08:59,337 --> 00:09:02,670
Half a million Serbians reside in the U.S. Serbians don't like Bosnians.
69
00:09:02,740 --> 00:09:04,970
You guys wanna get suited up?
70
00:09:08,779 --> 00:09:11,714
- Bring the cockroaches?
- Got 'em.
71
00:09:11,782 --> 00:09:13,943
We have air lock, Stanley.You're all set to go.
72
00:09:18,789 --> 00:09:22,725
October 1, 0900 hours.
73
00:09:22,793 --> 00:09:26,559
Agent Stanley Goodspeed,Agent Trainee Marvin Isherwood...
74
00:09:26,631 --> 00:09:28,792
initiating exam of wooden crate.
75
00:09:28,866 --> 00:09:32,666
Suspicion of sarin gas inside.
76
00:09:32,737 --> 00:09:34,967
- Marvin, sarin is a...
- G.B. Aerosol.
77
00:09:35,039 --> 00:09:39,533
That is correct.I see we have some dirty magazines.
78
00:09:39,610 --> 00:09:41,805
Stone Age Cavegirls In the Raw.Kinky.
79
00:09:41,879 --> 00:09:45,315
And, uh... Not a good sign.
80
00:09:45,416 --> 00:09:49,318
Helloo-oo-oo, little baby doll.Lookit, Stan.
81
00:09:49,387 --> 00:09:52,914
- Hi there, Stanley!
- Marvin, don't!
82
00:09:52,990 --> 00:09:55,652
- Hiya, Stan!
- [Hissing]
83
00:09:55,726 --> 00:09:58,388
Shit! Move back! Move back!
84
00:09:58,462 --> 00:10:01,056
- Power landings offed.
- [Technician] Hang on, guys.
85
00:10:01,132 --> 00:10:03,566
We'll have that room cleared in 50 seconds. You're going to be okay.
86
00:10:03,634 --> 00:10:05,932
Jesus Christ!
87
00:10:06,003 --> 00:10:09,769
Okay, we've got some bad news and some really bad news.
88
00:10:09,840 --> 00:10:14,243
The bad news is that the gas is corrosive and it's eating our suits.
89
00:10:14,312 --> 00:10:17,440
- It's all over my hand, man.
- The really bad news...
90
00:10:17,515 --> 00:10:21,246
is there's enough explosive and gas to blow the chamber and kill everybody...
91
00:10:21,319 --> 00:10:23,412
- in the building.
- [Technician] Detonation too heavy.
92
00:10:23,487 --> 00:10:25,614
- Everybody, out of the room, now!
- Seal us inside.
93
00:10:29,927 --> 00:10:32,452
Where are the sprinklers, Lonner?
94
00:10:32,530 --> 00:10:37,433
The acid's eating my su... It's eating my ****ing suit, all right? Shit.
95
00:10:37,501 --> 00:10:40,937
Just wash us off.Where are my sprinklers?
96
00:10:41,005 --> 00:10:42,870
We're working on it.It's coming. It's just a flow problem.
97
00:10:42,940 --> 00:10:45,568
Well, it's a pretty big friggin' problem, Lonner. Fix it now!
98
00:10:45,643 --> 00:10:47,873
We're working on it! How much time do you have on that detonator?
99
00:10:47,945 --> 00:10:49,879
- A minute ten.
- Hey, look at this!
100
00:10:49,947 --> 00:10:52,347
[Technician] We're gonna have the room clear.
101
00:10:52,416 --> 00:10:54,475
- Tell 'em to take the atropine, now.
- The atropine, Isherwood.
102
00:10:54,552 --> 00:10:57,282
- What?
- Where's my water, Lonner? One minute!
103
00:10:57,355 --> 00:11:01,883
Marvin, the atropine! Now! Inject it in your heart before your suit melts.
104
00:11:01,959 --> 00:11:04,291
Shh-it!
105
00:11:04,362 --> 00:11:07,889
- [Technician] Make him take his dose!
- Where's that water?
106
00:11:07,965 --> 00:11:11,765
- Get that away from me!
- Phil, fix it, for Christ's sake!
107
00:11:13,404 --> 00:11:16,737
- Take the atropine, for Christ's sake!
- We're ****ed.
108
00:11:16,807 --> 00:11:20,504
- [Stanley] Poison's mixing.
- What the **** are you waiting for?
109
00:11:20,578 --> 00:11:24,776
- You take the ****ing needle now!
- ****ing shit, oh ****ing shit...
110
00:11:24,849 --> 00:11:27,317
- Forty seconds!
- If that suit melts...
111
00:11:27,385 --> 00:11:32,322
If you die, we all die! Inject your heart and then diffuse the bomb!
112
00:11:32,390 --> 00:11:34,915
Shit, what if I miss my heart? I can't see shit!
113
00:11:34,992 --> 00:11:37,460
- [Technician] Do it now!
- Look how big this is.
114
00:11:37,528 --> 00:11:41,294
You want me to stick this into my heart? Are you ****ing nuts?
115
00:11:41,365 --> 00:11:43,526
The sprinkler's coming.It's coming.
116
00:11:43,601 --> 00:11:45,728
Okay, here we go, man!
117
00:11:48,439 --> 00:11:50,464
[Technician] Sprinkler activated!
118
00:11:50,541 --> 00:11:52,509
How much time left?
119
00:11:52,576 --> 00:11:55,670
Twenty seconds.
120
00:11:55,746 --> 00:11:57,976
We're not gonna make it.
121
00:11:58,049 --> 00:12:01,280
- [Beeping]
- Fifteen.
122
00:12:04,088 --> 00:12:06,022
[Whispering] Oh, come on!
123
00:12:06,090 --> 00:12:08,388
Clear!
124
00:12:08,459 --> 00:12:10,393
[Panting]
125
00:12:10,461 --> 00:12:13,055
Get me the **** out of this gas chamber.
126
00:12:13,130 --> 00:12:15,963
I almost stabbed myself in the heart with this thing!
127
00:12:16,033 --> 00:12:19,298
~~ [Plucking Discordant Notes]
128
00:12:19,370 --> 00:12:21,304
- Stan?
- Hey, darlin'.
129
00:12:28,879 --> 00:12:30,813
I had such an interesting day today.
130
00:12:30,881 --> 00:12:33,816
Yeah, I had kind of an interesting day myself.
131
00:12:33,884 --> 00:12:36,978
Okay, you go first.
132
00:12:37,054 --> 00:12:41,047
Some terrorists decide to send a little care package... box o' goodies...
133
00:12:41,125 --> 00:12:45,824
which had to be neutralized before blowing up the office.
134
00:12:45,896 --> 00:12:50,492
I took the rest of the day off. Glass of wine, a little guitar... relaxin'.
135
00:12:50,568 --> 00:12:52,331
- Wow.
- I mean it, honey.
136
00:12:52,403 --> 00:12:56,100
The world is being Fed-Ex'd to hell on a handcart.
137
00:12:56,173 --> 00:12:59,574
I believe that anyone who's thinking about having a child in this world...
138
00:12:59,643 --> 00:13:02,908
is coldly considering an act of cruelty.
139
00:13:02,980 --> 00:13:07,542
I know, I'm rambling, I'm complaining,I'm sorry. What's your news, baby?
140
00:13:07,618 --> 00:13:11,213
- I'm pregnant.
- I'm sorry?
141
00:13:11,288 --> 00:13:13,756
I'm pregnant.
142
00:13:13,824 --> 00:13:16,850
- [Chuckling]
- [Laughs]
143
00:13:16,927 --> 00:13:19,691
- Really?
- Yeah.
144
00:13:19,763 --> 00:13:23,426
- Wow.
- All you're gonna say is "wow"?
145
00:13:23,501 --> 00:13:26,026
- You're pregnant?
- Three weeks.
146
00:13:26,103 --> 00:13:28,333
How do you know? I mean, h-how do you know?
147
00:13:28,405 --> 00:13:32,068
[Sighs] Blue.
148
00:13:32,143 --> 00:13:35,112
Just turned blue,so I went to the doctor.
149
00:13:35,179 --> 00:13:38,205
- Did you mean what you just said?
- When?
150
00:13:38,282 --> 00:13:41,012
Just right now, when you were talking about bringing a child into the world...
151
00:13:41,085 --> 00:13:43,417
and having it be an act of cruelty.
152
00:13:43,487 --> 00:13:44,715
I meant it at the time.
153
00:13:44,788 --> 00:13:47,484
At the time? You said it seven and a half seconds ago.
154
00:13:47,558 --> 00:13:53,394
Well... gosh, kind of a lot's happened since then. We're not even married.
155
00:13:53,464 --> 00:13:56,524
I know. It's funny you should mention that.
156
00:13:56,600 --> 00:13:59,467
- It's funny?
- Do you love me?
157
00:13:59,537 --> 00:14:02,904
- Of course I love you.
- Good.
158
00:14:06,277 --> 00:14:08,438
- Will you marry me?
- Whoa.
159
00:14:08,512 --> 00:14:11,140
Marriage Police, pull over.
160
00:14:11,215 --> 00:14:14,582
Come on, Stanley.I'm proposing to you right now.
161
00:14:23,494 --> 00:14:28,090
[Man] The Rock is the most famous and was the most feared prison ever built.
162
00:14:28,166 --> 00:14:30,862
Is it really true that there's never been an escape?
163
00:14:30,935 --> 00:14:35,099
Ah, that's true. From 1936 until '63 when the prison closed...
164
00:14:35,173 --> 00:14:37,107
there were 14 attempts.
165
00:14:37,175 --> 00:14:41,271
No one is believed to have made it to shore... alive, at least.
166
00:14:43,347 --> 00:14:46,339
Hey, fellas. I'm sorry, but tourists are not allowed back here.
167
00:14:46,417 --> 00:14:48,612
I don't really give a shit.You give a shit?
168
00:14:48,686 --> 00:14:51,154
- No. Come here, fruity.
- Move!
169
00:14:51,222 --> 00:14:55,124
- Hey, girls? You havin' a good time?
- [Girls Together] Yeah.
170
00:14:55,193 --> 00:14:58,162
Will you do something for me?It's really... It's really important.
171
00:14:58,229 --> 00:15:01,665
Tell your teacher that you need to get back on the boat and go home now.
172
00:15:01,733 --> 00:15:05,225
[Guide] Ladies and gentlemen,welcome to Broadway!
173
00:15:05,303 --> 00:15:07,703
This cell block housed...
174
00:15:07,772 --> 00:15:11,264
the most awesome scum in America.
175
00:15:11,342 --> 00:15:14,072
Ladies and gentlemen,I, Ranger Bob...
176
00:15:14,145 --> 00:15:18,775
cordially invite you to become inmates of Alcatraz... temporarily, of course.
177
00:15:21,519 --> 00:15:23,885
On line!
178
00:15:25,490 --> 00:15:28,516
Pretty tight quarters,aren't they, huh?
179
00:15:28,593 --> 00:15:31,027
Like being a caged animal.
180
00:15:31,095 --> 00:15:33,757
Spend a couple of years in there...
181
00:15:33,831 --> 00:15:36,925
- Something wrong with the tour?
- Tour's over, Bob.
182
00:15:43,241 --> 00:15:46,506
What kind of ****ed-up tour is this?

183
00:16:00,324 --> 00:16:03,418
Gen. Hummel, Captains Frye and Darrow reporting, sir.
184
00:16:03,494 --> 00:16:05,018
Welcome to the Rock.
185
00:16:05,096 --> 00:16:07,087
Land the choppers and deploy as planned.
186
00:16:07,165 --> 00:16:09,531
- Aye, aye, sir.
- Aye, aye, sir. Move out!
187
00:16:09,600 --> 00:16:11,864
I'm not allowed to carry a gun!
188
00:16:11,936 --> 00:16:14,370
You're not allowed to carry a gun?I got a goddamned gun!
189
00:16:14,438 --> 00:16:18,306
If I'd known this would happen, I'd have brought my mother****in' gun! Help!
190
00:16:20,645 --> 00:16:24,843
Gentlemen, this'll be our new home.I want my command center right here.
191
00:16:32,824 --> 00:16:35,122
- I want coms up.
- Roger that, sir.
192
00:16:35,193 --> 00:16:40,790
Put the satellite over there.I want to be up at 1600. Let's move it.
193
00:16:51,275 --> 00:16:52,333
Systems up.
194
00:16:52,410 --> 00:16:56,938
Possible penetration point in the shower room. We're setting anti-intrusion.
195
00:16:57,014 --> 00:17:01,474
I brought a personal touch, sir.It's an antimotion trembler device.
196
00:17:01,552 --> 00:17:05,545
It's custom-made. Nobody knows about it and nobody expects it.
197
00:17:05,623 --> 00:17:09,081
- What's it do?
- We head-fake 'em with the laser beam.
198
00:17:09,160 --> 00:17:13,119
Then if they disturb Mr. Backup here,[Chuckles] we own 'em.
199
00:17:22,273 --> 00:17:27,176
- [Gunshot]
- [Tourists Screaming]
200
00:17:27,245 --> 00:17:30,237
Ladies and gentlemen, you're being detained against your will.
201
00:17:30,314 --> 00:17:32,111
For that I apologize.
202
00:17:32,183 --> 00:17:34,981
It is not our intention in any way to harm you.
203
00:17:35,052 --> 00:17:38,453
You'll not be detained longer than is needed for us to complete our mission.
204
00:17:44,862 --> 00:17:47,330
[Major] Attention on deck!
205
00:17:47,398 --> 00:17:49,662
[Sighs] Stand easy, men.
206
00:17:51,202 --> 00:17:55,002
Make no mistake about it, gentlemen.We are now in harm's way.
207
00:17:55,072 --> 00:17:59,202
For Major Baxter and I, this is the last campaign in a career dating back...
208
00:17:59,277 --> 00:18:01,211
to Tet '68.
209
00:18:01,279 --> 00:18:04,715
Likewise for Captain Hendrix and Gunnery Sergeant Crisp...
210
00:18:04,782 --> 00:18:08,650
who cut their teeth under my command in Desert Storm.
211
00:18:08,719 --> 00:18:11,779
Capt. Frye, Capt. Darrow, this is my first operational situation with you...
212
00:18:11,856 --> 00:18:15,087
and your men, and I have to say thus far your conduct reflects your reputations.
213
00:18:15,159 --> 00:18:17,127
- Thank you, General.
- Thank you, sir.
214
00:18:17,194 --> 00:18:20,755
We have achieved our position through poise, precision and audacity.
215
00:18:20,831 --> 00:18:22,890
To this we must now add resolve.
216
00:18:22,967 --> 00:18:26,459
We'll be branded as traitors,the gravest capital crime.
217
00:18:26,537 --> 00:18:29,768
Punishable by death.
218
00:18:29,840 --> 00:18:34,675
Two hundred years ago, a few guys named Washington, Jefferson and Adams...
219
00:18:34,745 --> 00:18:38,112
were branded as traitors by the British.
220
00:18:38,182 --> 00:18:40,980
And now they're called patriots.
221
00:18:41,052 --> 00:18:43,077
In time, so shall we.
222
00:18:44,922 --> 00:18:48,949
God willing, in less than 48 hours we will evacuate this island in gunships...
223
00:18:49,026 --> 00:18:52,723
under cover of hostages and V.X. Gas warheads.
224
00:18:52,797 --> 00:18:56,164
Your destination:A nonextradition-treaty country.
225
00:18:56,233 --> 00:19:00,897
You will each be paid a fee of $1 million for services rendered.
226
00:19:00,972 --> 00:19:04,601
But you can never again set foot on your native soil.
227
00:19:04,675 --> 00:19:08,668
- Can you live with that?
- [All] Yes, sir!
228
00:19:08,746 --> 00:19:11,476
The men of Marine Force Recon are selected...
229
00:19:11,549 --> 00:19:15,280
to carry out illegal operations throughout the world.
230
00:19:15,353 --> 00:19:17,344
When they don't come home...
231
00:19:17,421 --> 00:19:21,551
their families are told fairy tales about what happened to them...
232
00:19:21,625 --> 00:19:24,856
and denied compensation.
233
00:19:24,929 --> 00:19:28,387
Well, I have choked on these lies my entire career.
234
00:19:28,466 --> 00:19:30,957
Well, here and now the lies stop!
235
00:19:36,691 --> 00:19:40,491
God be with all of you.Man your positions, men.
236
00:19:41,696 --> 00:19:44,494
[Phone Ringing,Receiver Clanking]
237
00:19:44,566 --> 00:19:46,796
This is FBI Director Womack.
238
00:19:46,868 --> 00:19:50,360
Director... be advised...
239
00:19:50,438 --> 00:19:53,271
81... I say again...
240
00:19:53,341 --> 00:19:55,726
81 civilians are under my control as of this moment.
241
00:19:55,726 --> 00:19:57,284
81 civilians are under my control as of this moment.
242
00:19:57,360 --> 00:20:01,626
You are to take measures to assure this remains a need-to-know classified fact.
243
00:20:01,698 --> 00:20:03,131
Who is this?
244
00:20:03,200 --> 00:20:05,930
Mr. Director, you have a very serious problem.
245
00:20:06,002 --> 00:20:09,165
A battery of V.X. Gas rockets is presently deployed to deliver...
246
00:20:09,239 --> 00:20:13,972
a highly-lethal strike on the population of the San Francisco Bay area.
247
00:20:14,044 --> 00:20:15,978
I will call again at 0100 hours to state my demands.
248
00:20:16,046 --> 00:20:18,640
- I wanna know who I'm talking to.
- This is Brigadier General...
249
00:20:18,715 --> 00:20:23,152
Francis X. Hummel, United States Marine Corps from Alcatraz. Out.
250
00:20:24,221 --> 00:20:26,746
I'll cancel your reservations.
251
00:20:26,823 --> 00:20:30,020
Get the Pentagon and call the San Francisco office.
252
00:20:30,093 --> 00:20:33,464
It seems Alcatraz was just reopened.
253
00:20:33,596 --> 00:20:37,362
[Man] Last night, Gen. Hummel,using brutal but nonlethal force...
254
00:20:37,433 --> 00:20:39,560
under the guise of a security exercise...
255
00:20:39,636 --> 00:20:42,662
walked off with 15 V.X.Poison-gas rockets.
256
00:20:42,739 --> 00:20:44,907
He lost one of his own men in the process.
257
00:20:45,040 --> 00:20:48,669
That's Gen. Hummel in Vietnam.I think he was a major at the time.
258
00:20:48,744 --> 00:20:52,976
Three tours in Vietnam,Panama, Grenada, Desert Storm...
259
00:20:53,048 --> 00:20:57,712
Three Purple Hearts, two Silver Stars and the Congressional Medal of...
260
00:20:57,786 --> 00:21:00,380
Jesus. This man is a hero.
261
00:21:00,455 --> 00:21:03,686
Well, I think "legend" might be a better description, Mr. Sinclair.
262
00:21:03,759 --> 00:21:07,456
Well, now we can add kidnapping and extortion to his list of accolades.
263
00:21:07,529 --> 00:21:09,724
Mr. Sinclair,Gen. Hummel is a man of honor.
264
00:21:11,266 --> 00:21:15,168
General, it's him.
265
00:21:15,237 --> 00:21:19,003
- Frank, it's Al Kramer.
- Hi, Al. How ya doin'?
266
00:21:19,074 --> 00:21:21,508
I don't know, Frank.Why don't you tell me?
267
00:21:21,576 --> 00:21:24,409
There are a lot of very,very worried people here, Frank.
268
00:21:24,479 --> 00:21:26,743
I'll come straight to the point.
269
00:21:26,815 --> 00:21:29,978
83 Force Reconnaissance Marines have died under my various commands.
270
00:21:30,052 --> 00:21:32,418
47 in Northern Laos and Southern China.
271
00:21:32,487 --> 00:21:35,718
Southern China? We never admitted we sent troops into China.
272
00:21:35,791 --> 00:21:38,055
Who is this? Identify yourself.
273
00:21:38,126 --> 00:21:41,027
White House Chief of Staff Hayden Sinclair, General.
274
00:21:41,096 --> 00:21:44,554
How old are you,Chief of Staff Sinclair?
275
00:21:44,633 --> 00:21:47,193
- I'm 33.
- Well, Mr. Sinclair...
276
00:21:47,269 --> 00:21:50,136
you've probably got no ****ing idea what I'm talking about.
277
00:21:50,205 --> 00:21:52,639
By your ninth birthday,I was runnin' black ops into China...
278
00:21:52,708 --> 00:21:55,734
and my men were responsible for over 200 enemy kills.
279
00:21:55,811 --> 00:21:58,780
Now put some rigging tape over Mr. Sinclair's mouth.
280
00:21:58,847 --> 00:22:02,283
- He's wasting my time.
- Ah, you want to continue, Frank?
281
00:22:02,351 --> 00:22:04,512
Remember Operation Desert Storm?
282
00:22:04,586 --> 00:22:08,420
Those surgical hits made by our smart bombs covered so well on CNN?
283
00:22:08,490 --> 00:22:13,154
My men on the ground made those hits possible by lasing the targets.
284
00:22:13,228 --> 00:22:16,720
Twenty of them were left to rot outside Baghdad after the conflict ended.
285
00:22:16,798 --> 00:22:20,859
No benefits were paid to their families.No medals conferred.
286
00:22:22,904 --> 00:22:25,134
These men died for their country,and they weren't even given...
287
00:22:25,207 --> 00:22:27,004
a goddamn military burial.
288
00:22:29,411 --> 00:22:31,743
The situation is unacceptable.
289
00:22:31,813 --> 00:22:35,442
You will transfer $100 million from the Grand Cayman Red Sea Trading Company account...
290
00:22:35,517 --> 00:22:37,451
to an account I designate.
291
00:22:37,519 --> 00:22:40,181
From these funds, reparations of $1 million will be paid...
292
00:22:40,255 --> 00:22:42,917
to each of the 83 marines' families.
293
00:22:42,991 --> 00:22:46,552
The rest of the funds I will disperse at my discretion.
294
00:22:46,628 --> 00:22:48,823
Do I make myself clear?
295
00:22:48,897 --> 00:22:52,196
Except for the Red Sea Trading Company.What is that?
296
00:22:52,267 --> 00:22:55,327
- Identify yourself.
- This is FBI Director Womack, General.
297
00:22:55,404 --> 00:22:59,067
It's a slush fund where the Pentagon keeps proceeds from illegal arms sales.
298
00:22:59,141 --> 00:23:01,666
Jesus, Frank!This is classified information.
299
00:23:01,743 --> 00:23:05,406
You alert the media,I launch the gas.
300
00:23:05,480 --> 00:23:08,278
You refuse payment,I launch the gas.
301
00:23:08,350 --> 00:23:10,841
You've got 40 hours...'til noon, day after tomorrow...
302
00:23:10,919 --> 00:23:12,318
to arrange transfer of the money.
303
00:23:12,387 --> 00:23:16,255
I am aware of your countermeasure. You and I know it doesn't stand a chance.
304
00:23:16,324 --> 00:23:18,485
- Hummel from Alcatraz, out.
- [Receiver Slams]
305
00:23:20,262 --> 00:23:22,196
[Womack] All right.
306
00:23:22,264 --> 00:23:25,290
We have to identify the hostages and contact each of their families.
307
00:23:25,367 --> 00:23:29,167
Tell 'em somethin'. Make up a story,and we've got to keep this undercover.
308
00:23:29,237 --> 00:23:31,831
If this comes out, the city of San Francisco will be in chaos.
309
00:23:31,907 --> 00:23:33,465
I am talking anarchy.
310
00:23:33,542 --> 00:23:37,103
Wait a minute, wait a minute.What is the potential casualty rate...
311
00:23:37,179 --> 00:23:41,445
for a single rocket armed with V.X. Poison gas, Gen. Peterson?
312
00:23:41,516 --> 00:23:43,450
Sixty or seventy.
313
00:23:43,518 --> 00:23:45,543
Well, that's...that's not so bad.
314
00:23:45,620 --> 00:23:49,818
Thousand.Seventy thousand dead.
315
00:23:49,891 --> 00:23:52,485
- Oh.
- One teaspoon of this hits the floor...
316
00:23:52,561 --> 00:23:55,223
it's lethal up to...100 feet.
317
00:23:55,297 --> 00:23:59,233
One teaspoon of this shit detonated in the atmosphere...
318
00:23:59,301 --> 00:24:02,031
will kill every living organism in an eight-block radius.
319
00:24:02,104 --> 00:24:04,664
Get the point?
320
00:24:04,739 --> 00:24:07,333
What did Hummel mean by your "countermeasure," General?
321
00:24:07,409 --> 00:24:09,240
Standard poison is countered by napalm.
322
00:24:09,311 --> 00:24:11,302
It burns it up,consumes it upon detonation.
323
00:24:11,379 --> 00:24:14,007
The problem with V.X. Poison gas...
324
00:24:14,082 --> 00:24:16,642
is that it's designed specifically to withstand napalm.
325
00:24:16,718 --> 00:24:18,845
That's where thermite plasma comes in.
326
00:24:18,920 --> 00:24:22,253
- Gen. Peterson?
- Thermite plasma incendiary systems...
327
00:24:22,324 --> 00:24:25,452
can burn hot enough to consume V.X.,but they're still in the test phase.
328
00:24:25,527 --> 00:24:29,361
It's not operational.Hummel knows this.
329
00:24:29,431 --> 00:24:32,423
We are dealing with one smart son of a bitch.
330
00:24:32,501 --> 00:24:35,129
What's it gonna take to equip a flight of F-18s...
331
00:24:35,203 --> 00:24:38,001
with thermite plasma within the next 36 hours?
332
00:24:38,073 --> 00:24:41,531
- An act of God.
- Excuse me?
333
00:24:41,610 --> 00:24:43,544
All right. We can try.
334
00:24:43,612 --> 00:24:47,378
But I strongly urge you to consider the use of this as a secondary initiative.
335
00:24:47,449 --> 00:24:50,509
Then we have to go to our primary initiative. Uh, Admiral?
336
00:24:50,585 --> 00:24:54,112
Sir, I'd like to bring in our SEAL ground commander, Cmdr. Anderson.
337
00:24:54,189 --> 00:24:58,922
Mr. Womack, who is your best chemical/biological man?
338
00:24:59,060 --> 00:25:01,426
- [Creaking]
- [Stanley] That's interesting.
339
00:25:01,496 --> 00:25:04,465
- Oh, yeah.
- That's very compelling.
340
00:25:04,533 --> 00:25:07,093
[Both Moaning]
341
00:25:07,169 --> 00:25:09,763
Ahh, you like my pigtails?
342
00:25:09,838 --> 00:25:12,864
Oh, yeah.Pigtails are naughty.
343
00:25:12,941 --> 00:25:15,910
- Naughty, naughty...
- [Moans]
344
00:25:15,977 --> 00:25:18,741
You're just an amaretto cream with peach sorbet persuasion.
345
00:25:18,813 --> 00:25:21,680
- [Phone Rings]
- This isn't happening.
346
00:25:21,750 --> 00:25:24,116
- No, Stan. Don't answer it.
- This isn't happening!
347
00:25:24,186 --> 00:25:26,654
- No, just don't answer it. It's okay.
- I have to.
348
00:25:26,721 --> 00:25:28,712
It's the office, baby.They know I'm home.
349
00:25:28,790 --> 00:25:32,988
- How could they know that you're home?
- It's the FBI.
350
00:25:33,061 --> 00:25:35,723
[Ringing Stops,Receiver Clicks]
351
00:25:35,797 --> 00:25:38,994
- Stanley! Tsk!
- Goodspeed.
352
00:25:39,067 --> 00:25:41,831
Yeah. Okay.Yeah, I'll be... I'll be down...
353
00:25:41,903 --> 00:25:44,963
- Yeah, downstairs in ten minutes.
- No, you won't.
354
00:25:45,040 --> 00:25:47,600
[Phone Beeps Off]
355
00:25:47,676 --> 00:25:51,578
- I have to go to San Francisco.
- No, you don't.
356
00:25:51,646 --> 00:25:55,173
Stanley. No, you do not have to go to San Francisco.
357
00:25:55,250 --> 00:25:57,741
Are you kidding me? You need to stay here and talk to me about things.
358
00:25:57,819 --> 00:26:00,788
- I've got to go, baby.
- [Disgusted Groan] I am Catholic.
359
00:26:00,855 --> 00:26:02,982
Do you realize that? I am pregnant and I am unmarried...
360
00:26:03,058 --> 00:26:05,856
and this causes a serious problem for me.
361
00:26:05,927 --> 00:26:08,157
I cannot believe you.
362
00:26:10,932 --> 00:26:13,696
[Sighs]
363
00:26:17,072 --> 00:26:19,006
N-N-No.
364
00:26:19,074 --> 00:26:22,771
- [Kissing Sounds]
- I love you.
365
00:26:22,844 --> 00:26:27,281
I will marry you. I just didn't plan on this, that's all.
366
00:26:27,349 --> 00:26:30,216
- [Relieved Laugh]
- Come to San Francisco.
367
00:26:30,285 --> 00:26:33,448
- Really?
- I'm sure it's just a training exercise.
368
00:26:33,521 --> 00:26:35,853
Check into the hotel,order up some champagne...
369
00:26:35,924 --> 00:26:37,983
- And we'll finish what we started?
- Exactly.
370
00:26:38,059 --> 00:26:40,994
- Baby, you gonna marry me?
- You know it.
371
00:26:41,062 --> 00:26:44,031
[Laughing] You're gonna marry me!
Oh, honey, come on.
372
00:26:44,099 --> 00:26:46,465
- Just a really quick one.
- [Groaning] Oh! Oh! I gotta go!
373
00:26:46,534 --> 00:26:49,628
A nighttime airdrop incursion is out, due to the full moon.
374
00:26:49,704 --> 00:26:51,672
Likewise a frontal seaside attack.
375
00:26:51,740 --> 00:26:55,005
If we're compromised and shots are fired, Hummel might launch.
376
00:26:55,076 --> 00:26:57,806
Our only alternative is an attack from within the prison.
377
00:26:57,879 --> 00:26:59,073
We penetrate the island...
378
00:26:59,147 --> 00:27:01,377
through the tunnels under the prison buildings undetected...
379
00:27:01,449 --> 00:27:03,883
and emerge in its center, where we can jump the marines from behind...
380
00:27:03,952 --> 00:27:08,252
and if we're lucky, take their rocket positions without a shot fired.
381
00:27:08,323 --> 00:27:10,518
I don't understand.You've studied the architectural plans?
382
00:27:10,592 --> 00:27:11,889
They're useless.
383
00:27:11,960 --> 00:27:14,622
Alcatraz has been ripped up and rebuilt for years.
384
00:27:14,696 --> 00:27:16,755
Under there is a maze of shit.
385
00:27:16,831 --> 00:27:20,528
There's no question. We need firsthand intelligence of the tunnel systems.
386
00:27:20,602 --> 00:27:23,332
- So what about the former warden?
- Died in 1979.
387
00:27:23,405 --> 00:27:26,203
All the guards we contacted were useless.
388
00:27:26,274 --> 00:27:30,677
Umm... there is someone who,I think, can help us.
389
00:27:34,082 --> 00:27:36,277
This is for the sake of national security.
390
00:27:36,351 --> 00:27:38,285
No, it's the sake of national security...
391
00:27:38,353 --> 00:27:40,947
that got us here in the first place 33 years ago.
392
00:27:41,022 --> 00:27:44,480
I knew... I knew someday this would come back to bite us. Forget it.
393
00:27:44,559 --> 00:27:47,585
- He does not exist.
- He does exist!
394
00:27:47,662 --> 00:27:51,291
We just forgot him for 30 years.We locked him up and threw away the key.
395
00:27:51,366 --> 00:27:53,630
Oh, and a lot of goddamn good it did us.
396
00:27:53,702 --> 00:27:56,865
He broke out of two maximum security prisons, and if he hits the streets...
397
00:27:56,938 --> 00:27:59,270
He's not gonna "hit the streets," Jim!
398
00:27:59,341 --> 00:28:02,401
Thirty years ago he was a highly-trained S.A.S. Operative.
399
00:28:02,477 --> 00:28:04,274
He is my age now,for Christ's sake.
400
00:28:04,346 --> 00:28:07,247
I have to get up three times a night to take a piss.
401
00:28:07,315 --> 00:28:09,783
[Quietly] We can't risk letting him out.
402
00:28:09,851 --> 00:28:12,820
He's a professional escape artist.
403
00:28:19,394 --> 00:28:21,726
[Lock Turning,Door Opening]
404
00:28:44,753 --> 00:28:47,313
[Womack] Here he is now.
405
00:28:47,389 --> 00:28:49,823
- Ah. Neat, uh...
- Yeah.
406
00:28:49,891 --> 00:28:52,655
- Neat, neat plane.
- Dr. Goodspeed. James Womack.
407
00:28:52,727 --> 00:28:54,661
- Pleasure meeting you, sir. Thank you.
- Welcome.
408
00:28:54,729 --> 00:28:57,664
You come very highly recommended.B.A., Columbia...
409
00:28:57,732 --> 00:28:59,927
M.A., Ph.D.,Johns Hopkins.
410
00:29:00,001 --> 00:29:01,935
Biochemistry/toxicology?
411
00:29:02,003 --> 00:29:04,699
Well, I'm one of those fortunate people who like my job, sir.
412
00:29:04,773 --> 00:29:07,640
Got my first chemistry set when I was seven. Blew my eyebrows off.
413
00:29:07,709 --> 00:29:10,678
We never saw the cat again.Been into it ever since. [Chuckles]
414
00:29:10,745 --> 00:29:13,145
- What do you know about V.X. Gas?
- Liquid.
415
00:29:13,214 --> 00:29:15,876
Failed pesticide discovered by mistake in 1952.
416
00:29:15,950 --> 00:29:18,384
It's kind of like champagne that way. The Franciscan monks thought...
417
00:29:18,453 --> 00:29:21,388
they were making white wine, somehow the bottle carbonated, voila, champagne.
418
00:29:21,456 --> 00:29:24,050
- Then the whole thing...
- The gas, Dr. Goodspeed.
419
00:29:24,125 --> 00:29:28,858
It's very horrible, sir. It's one of those things we wish we could disinvent.
420
00:29:30,365 --> 00:29:32,458
This isn't a training exercise, is it?
421
00:29:32,534 --> 00:29:36,994
No, Dr. Goodspeed,it's not a training exercise.
422
00:29:47,715 --> 00:29:51,037
[Man Clears Throat]
423
00:29:54,406 --> 00:29:56,340
[Siren Blurting]
424
00:30:14,176 --> 00:30:16,110
- Ernest.
- Good morning, Director.
425
00:30:16,178 --> 00:30:19,045
This is Ernest Paxton, agent in charge of the West Coast operation.
426
00:30:19,114 --> 00:30:20,172
Dr. Goodspeed.
427
00:30:20,248 --> 00:30:22,239
- Pleasure to meet you.
- How do you do, sir?
428
00:30:22,317 --> 00:30:26,720
It's been a fairly interesting day so far. The prisoner's here. Shall we?
429
00:30:26,788 --> 00:30:30,053
My boys haven't been able to find a file on this guy. Who is he, anyway, sir?
430
00:30:30,125 --> 00:30:33,856
His name is John Mason, a British national...
431
00:30:33,929 --> 00:30:37,057
incarcerated on Alcatraz in 1962...
432
00:30:37,132 --> 00:30:39,293
escaped in '63.
433
00:30:39,367 --> 00:30:41,858
I was under the impression that no one escaped Alcatraz, sir.
434
00:30:41,937 --> 00:30:43,928
Paxton, don't argue!
435
00:30:44,005 --> 00:30:45,973
[Womack] This man has no identity...
436
00:30:46,041 --> 00:30:48,032
not in the United States or Great Britain.
437
00:30:48,109 --> 00:30:50,543
He does not exist.Understand?
438
00:30:50,612 --> 00:30:53,080
I want one thing:How he escaped the Rock.
439
00:30:53,148 --> 00:30:55,616
Specifically, the route he took through the island's bowels.
440
00:30:55,684 --> 00:30:57,618
[Man] Papers are in order, sir.
441
00:30:57,686 --> 00:30:59,779
[Womack] We're prepared to offer him a full pardon.
442
00:30:59,854 --> 00:31:04,450
And, Paxton, no strong-arming Mason.I know him too well.
443
00:31:04,526 --> 00:31:06,926
Well, if you know him,then why don't you question him?
444
00:31:06,995 --> 00:31:11,295
No, he'll remember me. I don't want his anger clouding the issue.
445
00:31:11,366 --> 00:31:13,300
All right,I'll take care of him.
446
00:31:15,737 --> 00:31:18,137
[Latch Clinking]
447
00:31:21,509 --> 00:31:25,445
Mr. Mason, I'm special agent in charge Ernest Baxter.
448
00:31:25,513 --> 00:31:30,280
In charge of what? ****ing me over for another three decades?
449
00:31:30,352 --> 00:31:33,344
I don't know anything about your previous matters. I'm here because...
450
00:31:33,421 --> 00:31:36,982
a special situation exists that we feel you might be able to help us with.
451
00:31:37,058 --> 00:31:40,687
Now, what might that be? I've been in jail longer than Nelson Mandela...
452
00:31:40,762 --> 00:31:43,128
so maybe you want me to run for president.
453
00:31:43,198 --> 00:31:46,656
- Not exactly.
- Ah, pity.
454
00:31:46,735 --> 00:31:48,703
I feel rather like Alcamenes.
455
00:31:48,770 --> 00:31:50,670
- Who?
- Alcamenes.
456
00:31:50,739 --> 00:31:53,173
He was imprisoned by his king in ancient Greece.
457
00:31:53,241 --> 00:31:56,142
Like Sir Walter Raleigh.Same fate.
458
00:31:56,211 --> 00:31:59,271
- James the First.
- Even someone as bright as you...
459
00:31:59,347 --> 00:32:03,613
must be aware that, uh, there's a certain pattern emerging here.
460
00:32:03,685 --> 00:32:05,653
Alexander Solzhenitsyn?
461
00:32:05,720 --> 00:32:09,121
Yeah, I heard of him. Didn't he play hockey for the ****in' Red Wings?
462
00:32:09,190 --> 00:32:12,717
- That's the chap.
- Get this straight, Pops.
463
00:32:12,794 --> 00:32:15,160
I don't like you any more than you like me.
464
00:32:15,230 --> 00:32:17,664
But I'm here to make you a legitimate offer.
465
00:32:17,732 --> 00:32:19,962
You wanna hear what I have to say or not?
466
00:32:20,035 --> 00:32:23,869
By all means,dear Paxton, by all means.
467
00:32:23,938 --> 00:32:27,135
[Paxton] We got a problem in a place that I think you know.
468
00:32:27,208 --> 00:32:30,075
There's a hostage situation on Alcatraz.
469
00:32:30,145 --> 00:32:31,578
Hostage?
470
00:32:31,646 --> 00:32:33,671
Eighty-one tourists.
471
00:32:33,748 --> 00:32:36,808
The Rock has become a tourist attraction?
472
00:32:36,885 --> 00:32:40,719
Why don't we cut the shit, huh? You know the Rock. You broke out.
473
00:32:40,789 --> 00:32:44,225
- Yes, successfully.
- Yeah.
474
00:32:44,292 --> 00:32:46,760
So why don't you do yourself a favor while you're helpin' us.
475
00:32:46,828 --> 00:32:49,729
I mean, it'd be nice to get out of jail while you're still vertical.
476
00:32:49,798 --> 00:32:52,995
Hmm? While you got a little lead left in your pencil?
477
00:32:54,636 --> 00:32:57,503
While I'm considering your offer...
478
00:32:57,572 --> 00:33:01,770
I want a suite at the Fairmont Hotel.
479
00:33:01,843 --> 00:33:04,744
You know, I'm here to cut you a deal.
480
00:33:04,813 --> 00:33:09,182
I am not here to bend over and take it up the ass from you.
481
00:33:09,250 --> 00:33:12,617
Here. Here's a quarter.
482
00:33:16,925 --> 00:33:19,689
Do yourself a favor.Call your lawyer.
483
00:33:19,761 --> 00:33:21,695
You're goin' back to jail.
484
00:33:24,532 --> 00:33:27,695
- You're sending him back to jail?
- I'm not sending him anywhere.
485
00:33:27,769 --> 00:33:29,464
I'm just givin' him somethin' to think about.
486
00:33:29,537 --> 00:33:31,198
With all due respect, sir...
487
00:33:31,272 --> 00:33:33,433
we don't have time for him to think about it.
488
00:33:33,508 --> 00:33:37,535
- Oh, really?
- No, Goodspeed's right. Go talk to him.
489
00:33:37,612 --> 00:33:40,376
- Me? Sir, I'm not qualified for that.
- Yes.
490
00:33:40,448 --> 00:33:43,713
- You're an FBI agent.
- What is your specialty again?
491
00:33:43,785 --> 00:33:46,720
- Chemical weapons.
- Don't mention that!
492
00:33:50,325 --> 00:33:52,816
- You want me to lie?
- Yeah, lie.
493
00:33:54,195 --> 00:33:56,925
We got less than 24 hours.Give it a shot.
494
00:33:58,166 --> 00:34:00,100
Okay.
495
00:34:05,540 --> 00:34:07,474
Hiya!
496
00:34:07,542 --> 00:34:10,340
I'm an agent with the, uh...
497
00:34:10,412 --> 00:34:13,074
eh, Federal... FBI.
498
00:34:13,148 --> 00:34:17,642
Uh... Eh, well, my...I'm Stanley Goodspeed.
499
00:34:17,719 --> 00:34:21,155
- But of course you are.
- At least he got his name right.
500
00:34:21,222 --> 00:34:25,784
- Of course I am.
- And you have an emergency.
501
00:34:25,860 --> 00:34:29,261
- That's right.
- [Chair Thumps]
502
00:34:29,330 --> 00:34:33,528
- And you need my help.
- Exactly right.
503
00:34:33,601 --> 00:34:35,660
- [Exhales]
- Coffee.
504
00:34:35,737 --> 00:34:38,171
No, no, I'm fine,thank you.
505
00:34:38,239 --> 00:34:40,503
Offer me coffee.
506
00:34:40,575 --> 00:34:44,033
Oh, yes. Well, that was,in fact, going to be my next...
507
00:34:44,112 --> 00:34:46,842
Could we get a cup of coffee in here, please?
508
00:34:46,915 --> 00:34:49,816
And offer...to take these off.
509
00:34:49,884 --> 00:34:52,182
Mr. Mason, really.
510
00:34:52,253 --> 00:34:55,347
- All kidding aside...
- As a gesture of your good faith.
511
00:34:58,626 --> 00:35:01,527
Prisoner requests to have his handcuffs taken off.
512
00:35:01,596 --> 00:35:02,585
No, no, no!
513
00:35:02,664 --> 00:35:07,033
Look, why don't you go ahead and have his handcuffs taken off, please?
514
00:35:07,101 --> 00:35:09,433
Well, I guess that's one way to go.
515
00:35:12,307 --> 00:35:16,038
This is a pardon and release contract from the Attorney General's office.
516
00:35:16,110 --> 00:35:20,638
Now, it makes you a free man...provided you cooperate.
517
00:35:20,715 --> 00:35:24,082
So, if you'll just,ah, sign, uh, eh...
518
00:35:24,152 --> 00:35:26,677
- uh, where it says...
- "Signature"?
519
00:35:26,754 --> 00:35:29,416
- That's... Yes. "Signature."
- Well...
520
00:35:29,491 --> 00:35:34,019
timeo Danaos et dona ferentis.
521
00:35:34,095 --> 00:35:37,223
"I fear the Greeks even when they bring gifts."
522
00:35:37,298 --> 00:35:39,892
Oh, an educated man.
523
00:35:39,968 --> 00:35:43,631
That rules out the possibility of you being a field agent.
524
00:35:45,240 --> 00:35:48,073
In point of fact,I am a field agent, Mr. Mason.
525
00:35:48,142 --> 00:35:50,474
- Really.
- Yes.
526
00:35:50,545 --> 00:35:54,242
- In which field?
- Antiterrorism.
527
00:35:54,315 --> 00:35:58,411
Then you're trained in weaponry,explosives and mortal combat.
528
00:35:58,486 --> 00:36:00,454
Well-trained.
529
00:36:01,823 --> 00:36:03,791
- [Slaps Table]
- Then it's the Fairmont Hotel.
530
00:36:06,261 --> 00:36:08,195
Okay.
531
00:36:08,263 --> 00:36:12,529
I want a suite... a shower, a shave...
532
00:36:12,600 --> 00:36:14,966
and the feel of a suit.
533
00:36:15,036 --> 00:36:19,370
- May I also suggest a haircut.
- Am I out of style?
534
00:36:19,440 --> 00:36:21,931
Unless you're a 20-year-old guitarist from Seattle.
535
00:36:22,010 --> 00:36:24,979
- [Inhales] It's a grunge thing.
- Grunge?
536
00:36:25,046 --> 00:36:28,072
Yeah. Well, uh, uh... Okay. Thank you very much.
537
00:36:28,149 --> 00:36:31,312
All right. Call the Fairmont.Close the floor if necessary...
538
00:36:31,386 --> 00:36:34,378
but I want him sealed off,and he gets two hours max.
539
00:36:38,693 --> 00:36:40,627
[Coin Clinking]
540
00:36:50,672 --> 00:36:51,900
Great job, Goodspeed.
541
00:36:51,973 --> 00:36:54,134
[Paxton] Why didn't you throw in a trip to Tahiti?
542
00:36:54,208 --> 00:36:55,800
I'll deliver this to the Attorney General.
543
00:36:55,877 --> 00:36:58,812
No. Give it to me, Reynolds.Take Attorney Reynolds outside.
544
00:36:58,880 --> 00:37:00,973
There's a car waiting for you.Thank you.
545
00:37:03,751 --> 00:37:08,245
That's a signed Federal document, sir.Isn't that illegal?
546
00:37:08,323 --> 00:37:10,848
You're not acquainted with the full facts, Goodspeed.
547
00:37:10,925 --> 00:37:15,225
With all due respect, sir, I'd like clarification. I gave that man my word.
548
00:37:15,296 --> 00:37:18,857
Damn it! You're on a need-to-know basis,and you don't need to know!
549
00:37:20,935 --> 00:37:23,904
It's uh, eh, kind of curious,but, uh...
550
00:37:23,972 --> 00:37:26,941
Sir Walter Raleigh, Alcamenes,Solzhenitsyn, they, uh...
551
00:37:27,008 --> 00:37:29,203
Well, they were all wrongfully imprisoned.
552
00:37:29,277 --> 00:37:31,302
[Screeching]
553
00:37:33,948 --> 00:37:37,213
[Alarm Sounding]
554
00:37:37,285 --> 00:37:39,776
Womack!
555
00:37:39,854 --> 00:37:43,255
Now, why am I not surprised?You piece of shit!
556
00:37:43,324 --> 00:37:45,690
- Hey, peace! Peace!
- [Guard Shouting, Indistinct]
557
00:37:45,760 --> 00:37:48,558
[Sirens Wailing]
558
00:37:48,630 --> 00:37:51,463
[Punching Keypad]
559
00:37:51,532 --> 00:37:54,831
[Ringing, Carla's Voice] Hey, we're not home. Leave a message.
560
00:37:54,902 --> 00:37:57,837
- [Answering Machine Beeps]
- Hi, darling, it's, uh, it's me.
561
00:37:57,905 --> 00:38:02,035
Uh, listen, don't come to San Francisco. I repeat, do not...
562
00:38:02,110 --> 00:38:04,169
- come to San Francisco.
- [Phone Beeps]
563
00:38:04,245 --> 00:38:06,679
- Stanley, no! Like hell I'm not comin'!
- Carla! Carla!
564
00:38:06,748 --> 00:38:11,344
- Wait! Carla...
- [Punches Keypad, Ringing]
565
00:38:13,154 --> 00:38:17,557
Who's Carla? And why don't you want her to come to San Francisco?
566
00:38:17,625 --> 00:38:20,185
[Ringing Continues]
567
00:38:22,830 --> 00:38:26,561
- You're on a need-to-know basis, and you don't need to know.
- [Barks]
568
00:38:26,634 --> 00:38:29,603
- [Agent] Watch it, he'll bite you!
- [Agents Laughing]
569
00:38:36,477 --> 00:38:40,515
Good. Mobile command is fully operational.
570
00:38:40,648 --> 00:38:43,014
We'll be there in approximately two hours.
571
00:38:43,084 --> 00:38:45,018
- I'm not armed, sir.
- Hmm?
572
00:38:45,086 --> 00:38:47,816
- I am unarmed, sir.
- Well, where's your issue?
573
00:38:47,889 --> 00:38:52,087
I left it in my... [Clears Throat] Uh, my sock drawer.
574
00:38:52,159 --> 00:38:55,094
[Scoffs] A gun?
575
00:38:55,162 --> 00:38:58,256
For what? You're a chemical freak.
576
00:38:58,332 --> 00:39:03,429
[Chuckles] I'm a chemical super-freak,actually, but I still need a gun.
577
00:39:03,504 --> 00:39:05,597
Give 'im a goddamn gun.
578
00:39:08,075 --> 00:39:11,841
Have you fired one of those things since the academy?
579
00:39:11,913 --> 00:39:14,347
- [Recording] ~... wear some flowers ~
- [Mason] ~ If you're going ~
580
00:39:14,415 --> 00:39:18,181
~ To San Francisco Don't forget to wear flowers ~
581
00:39:18,252 --> 00:39:20,584
~ In your hair ~
582
00:39:20,655 --> 00:39:25,354
[Mason, Recording]~ If you're going to San Francisco ~
583
00:39:25,426 --> 00:39:28,293
- ~ You're sure to meet some ~
- ~ You're gonna meet ~
584
00:39:28,362 --> 00:39:31,195
- ~ Gentle people there ~
- ~ Some gentle ~
585
00:39:31,265 --> 00:39:35,531
- ~ People there ~
- ~ And you come for... ~
586
00:39:35,603 --> 00:39:38,504
- ~ If you're going to San Francisco ~
- ~ [Recording Continues]
587
00:39:38,573 --> 00:39:40,871
- [Woman] Fairmont Hotel.
- Heh, uh, room service?
588
00:39:40,942 --> 00:39:43,308
Uh, this...this is the penthouse.
589
00:39:43,377 --> 00:39:45,470
Do you have any snacks and drinks, huh?
590
00:39:45,580 --> 00:39:47,707
[Man] Hello-o-o.
591
00:39:47,782 --> 00:39:49,716
- You the barber?
- No. Stylist.
592
00:39:49,784 --> 00:39:51,684
Barber.
593
00:39:51,752 --> 00:39:54,152
- [Buzzing]
- Just clippers, no scissors.
594
00:39:54,221 --> 00:39:56,712
No scissors? You've got to be kidding me, no scissors.
595
00:39:56,791 --> 00:39:59,157
I mean, did they tell Picasso "no brush"?
596
00:39:59,226 --> 00:40:02,059
- With scissors, this man could kill you.
- I can't cut...
597
00:40:02,129 --> 00:40:05,929
anyone's balls off with a trimmer, now can I?
598
00:40:06,000 --> 00:40:10,733
Why don't we do this outside? Get some sun.
599
00:40:10,805 --> 00:40:15,469
Oh! Who did this to you? This is just not right. In fact, it's nasty.
600
00:40:15,543 --> 00:40:19,604
- Well, it's a... grunge thing.
- Well, it's some kind of thing.
601
00:40:19,680 --> 00:40:22,615
Do we have time for a sea kelp protein pack and maybe some color?
602
00:40:22,683 --> 00:40:26,585
- No.
- Okay. [Disgusted Sigh]
603
00:40:26,654 --> 00:40:29,384
- Not very nice, is he?
- [Clippers Buzzing]
604
00:40:29,457 --> 00:40:33,621
- No, he's not.
- ~~ [Stylist Humming]
605
00:40:45,373 --> 00:40:47,307
[Frank Sinatra] ~ 'Cause I'm leavin' ~
606
00:40:47,375 --> 00:40:50,242
- ~ On a jet plane ~
- Hey, somebody ordered it.Can't let it go to waste.
607
00:40:50,311 --> 00:40:53,542
- ~ Don't know when I'll be back again ~
- Don't you ever stop eatin'?
608
00:40:53,614 --> 00:40:55,809
- Not when it's free.
- ~~ [Music Continues]
609
00:40:55,883 --> 00:40:59,216
- We're supposed to be on duty.
- Hey, don't worry. He's an old man.
610
00:40:59,286 --> 00:41:01,516
The boss is watchin' 'im.Come on. Try some of this lobster.
611
00:41:01,589 --> 00:41:05,047
- Mm-hmm.
- My secretary will settle the bill.
612
00:41:06,727 --> 00:41:10,094
So, what do you have in store for me, Womack, when this is over?
613
00:41:10,164 --> 00:41:12,928
You'll get your life back, Mason.
614
00:41:13,000 --> 00:41:15,434
But you could've given me my life back years ago.
615
00:41:19,674 --> 00:41:22,108
Why should I trust you now?
616
00:41:22,176 --> 00:41:24,269
You've got my word.
617
00:41:24,345 --> 00:41:26,313
Will you shake on it?
618
00:41:31,786 --> 00:41:35,347
- [Mason Grunts]
- [Womack Screaming]
619
00:41:37,525 --> 00:41:39,959
- [Gasps]
- Freeze, mister!
620
00:41:40,027 --> 00:41:41,961
[Womack] Oh, man!
621
00:41:42,029 --> 00:41:44,327
Help!
622
00:41:44,398 --> 00:41:47,697
Drop the gun...or I drop your boss.
623
00:41:47,768 --> 00:41:51,704
- You will not!
- Aaah! Get!
624
00:41:51,772 --> 00:41:55,674
- He's gettin' very heavy.
- Then pull 'im up!
625
00:41:56,410 --> 00:41:58,469
Aah! Uuh!
626
00:41:58,546 --> 00:42:01,208
- [Cocking]
- Please don't.
627
00:42:01,282 --> 00:42:03,045
- [Womack] Ohh!
- [Whimpering]
628
00:42:03,117 --> 00:42:05,915
Help! Shit!
629
00:42:05,986 --> 00:42:08,750
- ~ Hold me like you'll never... ~
- Come on. Have a scallop. Catch.
630
00:42:08,823 --> 00:42:11,018
[Womack] Ohh!
631
00:42:13,294 --> 00:42:15,558
[Whimpering]
Ooh-ooh!
632
00:42:15,629 --> 00:42:18,496
- You hoist him in!
- Yaah! Oh!
633
00:42:18,566 --> 00:42:21,501
Help! Help! Help!
634
00:42:21,569 --> 00:42:24,868
- Where's Mason? Where's Mason?
- Hang on!
635
00:42:24,939 --> 00:42:28,204
- Mason's gone!
- Gone?
636
00:42:28,275 --> 00:42:30,209
- [Agent] Clear!
- [Stylist Gasps]
637
00:42:30,277 --> 00:42:33,769
Living room's clear!
638
00:42:33,848 --> 00:42:37,181
- Oh, my God! Oh, my God!
- [Elevator Bell Dings]
639
00:42:37,251 --> 00:42:41,119
All units, this is Caretaker.We have a signal six. He's in the hotel!
640
00:42:46,527 --> 00:42:50,793
Okay, I don't wanna know nothin'. I never saw you throw that gentleman off the balcony.
641
00:42:50,865 --> 00:42:55,097
All I care about is,are you happy with your haircut?
642
00:42:55,169 --> 00:42:57,933
Aah! Easy! Aah!
643
00:42:58,005 --> 00:43:03,033
- [Grunting]
- Watch it, you ****head! You're gonna pull my arm out!
644
00:43:04,311 --> 00:43:06,779
[Waiter] Watch out! Aah!
645
00:43:15,055 --> 00:43:18,149
[Shouting In Native Language]
646
00:43:19,460 --> 00:43:21,587
- Uuh!
- Watch it!
647
00:43:26,300 --> 00:43:29,428
- [Man] Hey, watch it!
- He's right over there!
648
00:43:47,888 --> 00:43:52,951
This is my Humvee. I don't want any dings, dents or scratches,or I'll have your ass. Hey!
649
00:43:53,027 --> 00:43:55,154
Hey! Stop! Hey!
650
00:43:55,229 --> 00:43:58,289
[Tires Squealing,Sirens Wailing]
651
00:43:58,365 --> 00:44:02,529
- [Pedestrians Screaming]
- [Man] I was inside the bedroom with Jack Powell!
652
00:44:02,603 --> 00:44:05,333
- [Agent] Hey, call the guard!
- [Agent] Go!
653
00:44:06,874 --> 00:44:09,502
FBI.
654
00:44:09,577 --> 00:44:12,444
[Engine Revving,Tires Pealing]
655
00:44:28,229 --> 00:44:31,289
- [Sirens Continue]
- Whoa! Whoa!
656
00:44:31,365 --> 00:44:34,926
Suspect is in a black Humvee heading west on California.
657
00:44:35,002 --> 00:44:37,129
Speed approximately 70 miles per hour.
658
00:44:44,144 --> 00:44:46,510
Get out of the way!
659
00:44:49,817 --> 00:44:52,342
I want a net put on this son of a bitch, you hear me?
660
00:44:54,722 --> 00:44:57,555
[Screeching]
661
00:45:25,419 --> 00:45:28,388
This guy's hittin' every ****in' thing in sight tryin' to block us!
662
00:46:06,060 --> 00:46:09,393
I hope you're insured!
663
00:46:17,971 --> 00:46:20,963
- Oh, well, why not?
- [Engine Revving Higher]
664
00:46:35,889 --> 00:46:38,414
You're goin' down!
665
00:46:53,740 --> 00:46:56,174
[Phone Ringing]
666
00:46:58,945 --> 00:47:01,243
- [Receiver Clicks, Phone Beeps]
- Hello?
667
00:47:01,314 --> 00:47:03,305
[Humvee Owner] Sie haben meine Hummer gestolen!
668
00:47:03,383 --> 00:47:05,442
I'm only borrowing your Humvee!
669
00:47:09,956 --> 00:47:12,015
[Mason] Information?
670
00:47:12,092 --> 00:47:14,026
San Francisco.
671
00:47:14,094 --> 00:47:17,222
Uh, Jade Angelou.That's A-N-G...
672
00:47:17,297 --> 00:47:19,288
[Bell Ringing]
673
00:47:19,366 --> 00:47:21,800
Welcome aboard, y'all.How y'all doin' today?
674
00:47:24,771 --> 00:47:27,331
Hang on!
675
00:47:29,075 --> 00:47:32,203
- [Riders Screaming]
- Holy shit!
676
00:47:37,384 --> 00:47:40,581
[Horn Honking]
677
00:47:42,656 --> 00:47:44,920
Whoa-oa!
678
00:47:46,493 --> 00:47:49,485
- Oh, no!
- [People Screaming]
679
00:47:53,400 --> 00:47:55,698
We're gonna crash! Save yourselves!
680
00:48:01,274 --> 00:48:03,401
Oh, my baby!
681
00:48:07,180 --> 00:48:10,081
Oh, no!
682
00:48:22,529 --> 00:48:25,521
Oh, no.
683
00:48:28,501 --> 00:48:31,368
Oh! Oh, God.

684
00:48:32,272 --> 00:48:34,740
Oh, God!
685
00:48:52,959 --> 00:48:56,554
Hey, man.You just ****ed up your Ferrari.
686
00:48:56,629 --> 00:48:59,792
- [Conductor] Oh, no! Baby's goin' down in flames!
- It's not mine.
687
00:48:59,866 --> 00:49:02,266
- [Chuckles, Grunts]
- Neither is this.
688
00:49:02,335 --> 00:49:04,895
[Engine Revving,Tires Pealing]
689
00:49:06,272 --> 00:49:09,764
Damn! This sucks! Where's that son of a bitch at?
690
00:49:09,843 --> 00:49:13,643
I'm gonna hunt him down! That mother****er ain't safe nowhere!
691
00:49:13,713 --> 00:49:16,273
- [Ringing]
- Chem Weapons, Isherwood.
692
00:49:16,349 --> 00:49:19,841
Marvin, look up Wolfburg Federal Penitentiary.
693
00:49:19,919 --> 00:49:21,944
The inmate is Mason, John.
694
00:49:22,022 --> 00:49:24,855
Stan, listen. I'm gettin' out of this government shithole.
695
00:49:24,924 --> 00:49:27,984
I'm goin' over to Orkin to design Roach Motels. Cool, huh?
696
00:49:28,061 --> 00:49:29,995
Look, I just stole a kid's motorcycle.
697
00:49:30,063 --> 00:49:32,190
I'm not really feeling too good about it, okay? Wolfburg, got it?
698
00:49:32,265 --> 00:49:36,759
Yeah, I got it. All right,Magrane, Masconi, Masters. No Mason.
699
00:49:36,836 --> 00:49:41,637
Go to February '76. Who was transferred to Wolfburg from San Quentin?
700
00:49:41,708 --> 00:49:43,801
- [Beeping]
- [Marvin] This is weird.
701
00:49:43,877 --> 00:49:47,745
They got medical records,they got place of birth... Glasgow...
702
00:49:47,814 --> 00:49:49,941
Uh, but they don't have a name.
703
00:49:50,016 --> 00:49:52,610
Uh, wait a minute,wait a minute!
704
00:49:52,685 --> 00:49:56,382
They have next of kin. A Jade Angelou of 32 Stenson Drive, San Francisco.
705
00:49:56,456 --> 00:49:58,549
[Motorcycle Approaching]
706
00:50:16,910 --> 00:50:18,901
Jade?
707
00:50:18,978 --> 00:50:23,074
No, I'm Stacy,Jade's Friend.
708
00:50:27,153 --> 00:50:29,883
Were you afraid to come alone?
709
00:50:29,956 --> 00:50:31,890
Yeah.
710
00:50:31,958 --> 00:50:34,358
[Whispers] It's okay.
711
00:50:34,427 --> 00:50:36,861
I'll be over here if you need me.
712
00:50:36,930 --> 00:50:41,663
Last photograph I had of you,you were about ten. Yeah?
713
00:50:43,336 --> 00:50:48,205
I found a picture of you among my mom's things... when she died.
714
00:50:48,274 --> 00:50:51,209
Oh, yeah? Well, uh...
715
00:50:52,946 --> 00:50:57,576
- Why don't we take a walk?
- I got 'im. Palace of Fine Arts.
716
00:50:57,650 --> 00:51:01,746
Your mother, uh... [Sighs] Ya know, well, she was very special.
717
00:51:01,821 --> 00:51:04,221
Yeah, she was.
718
00:51:04,290 --> 00:51:08,386
But I don't think we should romanticize what happened between you and her.
719
00:51:08,461 --> 00:51:10,793
Meeting in a bar after a Led Zeppelin concert.
720
00:51:10,864 --> 00:51:14,163
Head out,and I was the result.
721
00:51:14,234 --> 00:51:17,761
Well, I'd like to think it would've led somewhere, if only...
722
00:51:17,837 --> 00:51:19,771
If only what?
723
00:51:19,839 --> 00:51:23,206
Six federal marshals hadn't kicked down our door and dragged you back to prison?
724
00:51:23,276 --> 00:51:25,210
I'm sorry.
725
00:51:25,278 --> 00:51:27,439
[Mason] It's all right.
726
00:51:28,515 --> 00:51:31,382
- So they let you out?
- Yeah.
727
00:51:32,719 --> 00:51:34,653
That's good.
728
00:51:34,721 --> 00:51:37,451
[Sighs] What did you do?
729
00:51:39,225 --> 00:51:41,159
"I do"?
730
00:51:44,264 --> 00:51:48,030
Jade, I don't have a great deal of time here.
731
00:51:49,869 --> 00:51:52,599
But I'll be coming back,and, uh...
732
00:51:52,672 --> 00:51:56,301
- Maybe we can... -
- What? We can what?
733
00:51:57,810 --> 00:51:59,744
You know...
734
00:51:59,812 --> 00:52:03,680
you're almost the only evidence that I exist.
735
00:52:03,750 --> 00:52:06,275
But I don't know you.
736
00:52:06,352 --> 00:52:09,014
That's what I want to change, eh?
737
00:52:13,159 --> 00:52:18,062
I've rehearsed this speech a thousand times on the chance that we would meet.
738
00:52:18,131 --> 00:52:20,463
Here we are...and I'm lost.
739
00:52:20,533 --> 00:52:23,991
[Chuckles] Well, I don't know how I'm supposed to be feeling either.
740
00:52:24,070 --> 00:52:28,131
Jade, I'm not an evil man.
741
00:52:28,208 --> 00:52:31,336
If you can believe that,then it's a start.
742
00:52:35,048 --> 00:52:36,982
Okay.
743
00:52:37,050 --> 00:52:39,280
[Sirens Wailing In Distance]
744
00:52:47,927 --> 00:52:50,088
Is this about you?
745
00:53:02,108 --> 00:53:05,077
You broke out of prison again,didn't you?
746
00:53:06,312 --> 00:53:08,906
- Why did you come to me?
- FBI, ma'am.
747
00:53:08,982 --> 00:53:13,544
Your father's working with us.He's helping us resolve a dangerous situation.
748
00:53:13,620 --> 00:53:15,713
- He is?
- Yes, ma'am.
749
00:53:15,788 --> 00:53:18,655
[Sighs] Well, gee whiz, John,I guess we oughta get goin', huh?
750
00:53:18,725 --> 00:53:20,659
Whatever you say, Stanley.
751
00:53:27,900 --> 00:53:30,198
Thank you for that.You could've handled it differently.
752
00:53:30,270 --> 00:53:33,671
What do you say we cut the chitchat, a-hole?
753
00:53:33,740 --> 00:53:37,767
You almost got me killed twice,and my jaw hurts like hell.
754
00:53:37,844 --> 00:53:40,677
- Good.
- Cocksucker!
755
00:53:40,747 --> 00:53:44,205
If I had my way, you would be shipped back to Wolfburg in leg irons...
756
00:53:44,284 --> 00:53:46,752
and caged like an animal for the rest of your natural ****in' life!
757
00:53:46,819 --> 00:53:48,753
You wrecked half the city!
758
00:53:48,821 --> 00:53:52,621
[Electronic Beepings, Phones Ringing,Low Voices Chattering]
759
00:53:52,692 --> 00:53:56,059
- [Man] Give me a hand with the system.
- Now, tell me about the tunnels.
760
00:53:56,129 --> 00:53:59,895
If you know the system, it will take you wherever you need to go.
761
00:53:59,966 --> 00:54:05,563
All right, there's an intake pipe here,below low tide. Is that our best access?
762
00:54:05,638 --> 00:54:10,111
- Yes, that's exactly where I came out.
- Then beneath the cistern...
763
00:54:10,244 --> 00:54:12,576
There's a connection to the abandoned septic system. How many feet is that?
764
00:54:12,646 --> 00:54:16,548
Ehh... 57 paces.
765
00:54:16,617 --> 00:54:18,744
Where do we go from there?
766
00:54:21,689 --> 00:54:24,249
[Muttering] Where do you go from there?
767
00:54:24,325 --> 00:54:26,259
That's a good question.
768
00:54:27,895 --> 00:54:29,829
I have no idea.
769
00:54:29,897 --> 00:54:32,229
- What?
- [Stifled Laugh]
770
00:54:32,299 --> 00:54:35,598
I mean... I'll know when we're all inside.
771
00:54:35,669 --> 00:54:39,469
No. You're not goddamn goin'.Show us on the blueprints.
772
00:54:39,540 --> 00:54:43,476
I can't! [Chuckles] My blueprint was in my head.
773
00:54:43,544 --> 00:54:46,308
I was underground for three days in the dark...
774
00:54:46,380 --> 00:54:49,611
just waiting for the tides to be right.
775
00:54:49,683 --> 00:54:53,210
But don't worry.It'll all come back to me.
776
00:54:53,287 --> 00:54:55,755
You're not going anywhere,Mason.
777
00:54:55,823 --> 00:54:57,757
Wait a second.
778
00:54:57,825 --> 00:55:01,158
This piece of work might be the only chance those people over there have.
779
00:55:01,228 --> 00:55:03,924
If he's not going, then why the hell did we get him out of jail?
780
00:55:03,998 --> 00:55:07,434
- He's smart.
- I got him out to get you people in, not go with you.
781
00:55:07,501 --> 00:55:09,799
If it's the only way of getting the intelligence I need...
782
00:55:09,870 --> 00:55:13,499
- then he goes.
- He'll **** with you.
783
00:55:13,574 --> 00:55:17,374
You compromise my men's lives,and I'll bury you out there.
784
00:55:19,446 --> 00:55:24,213
Now, Womack, you're between the Rock and a hard case.
785
00:55:25,519 --> 00:55:28,352
Hmm. How's your bowling arm?
786
00:55:31,192 --> 00:55:33,592
Dr. Goodspeed, the goal is to take out the launchers...
787
00:55:33,661 --> 00:55:35,720
then neutralize the V.X. Chemical rounds.
788
00:55:35,796 --> 00:55:39,323
Well, we know the poison's being kept in the prison morgue from the satellite thermal imaging...
789
00:55:39,400 --> 00:55:42,028
which is right here,these colorized dots.
790
00:55:42,102 --> 00:55:44,229
Have you ever actually seen one of these devices?
791
00:55:44,305 --> 00:55:46,364
No, sir,but I've studied them.
792
00:55:46,440 --> 00:55:49,898
I should really begin briefing your guys on defusing and detoxification.
793
00:55:49,977 --> 00:55:54,641
Got a really neat layout here of the chem round as well as the rocket, so let's get rolling.
794
00:55:54,715 --> 00:55:56,649
That won't be necessary.
795
00:55:58,052 --> 00:56:00,714
Oh, it's very necessary, sir.
796
00:56:00,788 --> 00:56:03,154
The power of this chemical is way beyond anything you can imagine.
797
00:56:03,224 --> 00:56:05,920
An ecological disaster, sir.
798
00:56:05,993 --> 00:56:08,393
Plus, the devices themselves are complicated.
799
00:56:08,462 --> 00:56:11,022
That's why you're coming with us.
800
00:56:12,800 --> 00:56:14,734
I am?
801
00:56:14,802 --> 00:56:18,067
You're the expert.What's your problem?
802
00:56:18,138 --> 00:56:22,404
You mean I'm going...going out there... under the water?
803
00:56:22,476 --> 00:56:27,504
Earlier today you wanted a gun.Now you're getting a gun and a wet suit.
804
00:56:27,581 --> 00:56:29,606
Have you ever been in a combat situation?
805
00:56:29,683 --> 00:56:32,880
- Define "combat," sir.
- Shep?
806
00:56:32,953 --> 00:56:36,354
An incursion underwater to retake an impregnable fortress held by an elite team...
807
00:56:36,423 --> 00:56:40,416
of U.S. Marines in possession of 81 hostages and 15 guided rockets...
808
00:56:40,494 --> 00:56:42,928
armed with V.X. Poison gas.
809
00:56:42,997 --> 00:56:46,763
Oh. In that case, no, sir.Excuse me.
810
00:56:46,834 --> 00:56:48,768
[Retching]
811
00:56:50,371 --> 00:56:53,067
[Gagging, Coughing]
812
00:56:53,140 --> 00:56:55,734
- Here.
- Ah, thank you.
813
00:56:55,809 --> 00:56:57,868
[Gasping]
814
00:56:57,945 --> 00:57:00,311
You don't look too good.
815
00:57:00,381 --> 00:57:03,248
In fact, you look like shit.
816
00:57:03,317 --> 00:57:07,413
My stomach's doing hula hoops around my ass.
817
00:57:07,488 --> 00:57:11,288
You all right? I mean,you gonna make it through this thing?
818
00:57:11,358 --> 00:57:14,452
I don't know.
819
00:57:14,528 --> 00:57:18,988
I always expected something like this was going to happen,but nothing prepares you for it.
820
00:57:19,066 --> 00:57:22,331
Now I'm...I'm responsible...
821
00:57:22,403 --> 00:57:24,371
for a whole city.
822
00:57:24,438 --> 00:57:26,406
[Faucet Creaks,Water Splashing]
823
00:57:26,473 --> 00:57:29,135
- [Turns Faucet Off]
- Look, I know this isn't easy for you.
824
00:57:29,209 --> 00:57:31,507
Remember, you were trained for this kind of situation...
825
00:57:31,578 --> 00:57:33,603
and believe me,it'll come back to you.
826
00:57:33,681 --> 00:57:36,411
Besides, you got the best SEAL team in the country backin' you up.
827
00:57:36,483 --> 00:57:39,646
Okay.You're right.
828
00:57:41,021 --> 00:57:43,785
I'll be on the wire.I'll help talk you through it.
829
00:57:43,857 --> 00:57:45,791
There's something else.
830
00:57:47,695 --> 00:57:51,131
It's terrible...N-No, it's wonderful...
831
00:57:51,198 --> 00:57:53,723
except it isn't.
832
00:57:53,801 --> 00:57:56,031
My girlfriend's pregnant...
833
00:57:57,104 --> 00:58:01,040
and she's...just flown in to see me.
834
00:58:01,108 --> 00:58:03,872
You keep your mind on what you're going to be doing out there tonight...
835
00:58:03,944 --> 00:58:08,115
and I'll send someone to pick up your girlfriend and bring her here to the command center.
836
00:58:19,759 --> 00:58:23,559
- Hummel!
- Hello, Frank. Lou Linstrom.
837
00:58:23,630 --> 00:58:27,464
I'm at the White House with General Kramer.
838
00:58:27,534 --> 00:58:31,402
Uh, Frank, we're havin' a few problems with the account transfer.
839
00:58:31,471 --> 00:58:33,803
Don't tell me problems,tell me solutions.
840
00:58:33,874 --> 00:58:38,208
We've spoken to the president,and I know that you're aware of his stance on terrorism...
841
00:58:38,278 --> 00:58:42,408
- so what we'd like to do...
- This isn't about terrorism.This is about justice.
842
00:58:42,482 --> 00:58:45,542
It's about reminding you people who found it politically convenient to forget.

TOP

843
00:58:45,619 --> 00:58:47,951
This is goin' nowhere, Frank.
844
00:58:48,021 --> 00:58:52,424
Well, let me tell you what is:15 V.X. Gas rockets into the heart of San Francisco.
845
00:58:52,492 --> 00:58:54,756
You've got 17 hours to deliver the money.
846
00:58:54,828 --> 00:58:57,558
Or be prepared to reap the whirlwind, gentlemen.
847
00:59:01,735 --> 00:59:03,862
What's the word from Mojave?
848
00:59:03,937 --> 00:59:08,670
General Peterson can give us no definite assurance on the thermite plasma.
849
00:59:08,742 --> 00:59:10,733
That is the word.
850
00:59:15,382 --> 00:59:17,441
Green light to SEAL incursion.
851
00:59:35,634 --> 00:59:36,532
Fall in!
852
00:59:36,602 --> 00:59:41,266
All right. Listen up.Mr. Mason will run point for us.
853
00:59:41,340 --> 00:59:43,274
Lieutenant Shepard will be attached to his hip.
854
00:59:43,342 --> 00:59:45,970
You breathe,he breathes with you.
855
00:59:46,044 --> 00:59:48,604
You piss, he helps.Understood?
856
00:59:49,715 --> 00:59:51,945
Dr. Goodspeed is our specialist.
857
00:59:52,017 --> 00:59:56,784
When he neutralizes the threat,we launch green flares and we wait for the cavalry.
858
00:59:56,855 --> 01:00:00,791
Make no mistake, gentlemen,we're in the fight of our lives...
859
01:00:00,859 --> 01:00:02,918
against maybe the greatest battalion commander...
860
01:00:02,995 --> 01:00:05,088
in the Vietnam War,I shit you not.
861
01:00:06,431 --> 01:00:08,296
Any questions?
862
01:00:09,134 --> 01:00:10,965
Let's load up!
863
01:00:19,678 --> 01:00:21,805
After you, ace.
864
01:00:43,735 --> 01:00:46,203
Pass out and activate the Minicams.
865
01:00:48,273 --> 01:00:50,207
Everything set here?
866
01:00:50,275 --> 01:00:52,937
Minicams operational?
867
01:00:53,011 --> 01:00:56,174
Roger that, sir.We are on line.
868
01:01:00,118 --> 01:01:04,350
Shep, what's the status on the special operational gear for Mr. Mason?
869
01:01:07,326 --> 01:01:10,386
Let's see, we have, uh...
870
01:01:10,462 --> 01:01:15,297
one quart of kerosene and a squeeze bottle...
871
01:01:15,367 --> 01:01:19,565
three washers and waterproof matches.
872
01:01:21,239 --> 01:01:24,572
Use the green flares to signal when the threat has been neutralized.
873
01:01:24,643 --> 01:01:26,838
Now, this is atropine.If you come in contact with the gas...
874
01:01:26,912 --> 01:01:29,745
you have 20 seconds to inject it into your heart.
875
01:01:29,815 --> 01:01:32,750
Don't **** with me on this.It may save your life.
876
01:01:36,321 --> 01:01:41,884
I have three incoming bogeys bearing 2-7-5. Range: 6,000 meters.
877
01:01:45,297 --> 01:01:48,164
FBI Command Center?
878
01:01:48,233 --> 01:01:51,396
- Oh, I would just love for you to tell me what is goin' on.
- Nope.
879
01:01:51,470 --> 01:01:53,904
Listen, Stanley Goodspeed is my boyfriend.
880
01:01:53,972 --> 01:01:57,408
- Actually, he's my fiancé. Where is he?
- Classified, lady.
881
01:01:57,476 --> 01:02:00,502
Okay, well you just sit here and act like a Bureau bonehead, then.
882
01:02:00,579 --> 01:02:02,740
Hey, where are you...Goddamn it.
883
01:02:07,786 --> 01:02:10,346
Decoy choppers commencing run to Alcatraz.
884
01:02:12,124 --> 01:02:14,285
I just lost one, sir.I just lost one.
885
01:02:14,359 --> 01:02:17,089
We only got two flying in.I just lost one.
886
01:02:17,162 --> 01:02:19,357
Shit.
887
01:02:28,006 --> 01:02:31,840
In my day, we did it all with a snorkel and a pair of flippers.
888
01:02:31,910 --> 01:02:35,004
- Your day?
- Yes, didn't you read my resume?
889
01:02:35,080 --> 01:02:38,072
I don't... I don't know anything about you.
890
01:02:38,150 --> 01:02:40,744
- I know something about you, Godspell.
- Goodspeed.
891
01:02:40,819 --> 01:02:44,118
Goodspeed,Godspeed, Godspell,
892
01:02:44,189 --> 01:02:47,283
you never went to any anti-terrorist school.
893
01:02:47,359 --> 01:02:50,294
So just make sure you don't get us all ****ing killed.
894
01:02:51,963 --> 01:02:54,693
We're going dark.
895
01:02:54,766 --> 01:02:56,393
Night vision!
896
01:02:58,003 --> 01:03:00,233
Raider One has dropped below radar coverage...
897
01:03:00,305 --> 01:03:02,330
heading around Treasure Island.
898
01:03:03,875 --> 01:03:07,072
Sir, we've got two bogeys bearing due east and closing.
899
01:03:12,350 --> 01:03:14,284
Decoys?
900
01:03:14,352 --> 01:03:17,321
- Prepare to deploy!
- Good luck, Commander.
901
01:03:22,394 --> 01:03:24,362
Sir, Raider One is at the drop zone.
902
01:03:26,398 --> 01:03:29,856
Stanley's not a very good swimmer.I mean, he can't even snorkel.
903
01:03:31,036 --> 01:03:33,470
- Everyone, good to go?
- Good to go!
904
01:03:33,538 --> 01:03:37,269
- Good to go!
- [Muffled Words] Good to go!
905
01:03:45,917 --> 01:03:49,512
So the S.D.U. S have been deployed,and the Eagles are in the water.
906
01:03:59,264 --> 01:04:02,358
Major, I want the perimeter patrolled to the west end of the island.
907
01:04:02,434 --> 01:04:06,063
- Yes, sir. Hendrix, lead the patrol.
- Aye, sir.
908
01:04:06,138 --> 01:04:08,072
Let's move! Move out,move out, move out!
909
01:05:05,096 --> 01:05:08,623
The Eagles are on the rock.They've entered the cistern room.
910
01:05:14,973 --> 01:05:19,569
Thank you very ****ing much, Mr. Mason.You sent us into a room with no exit.
911
01:05:22,714 --> 01:05:24,705
Any ideas, Dillinger?
912
01:05:24,783 --> 01:05:27,445
Figure it out soon.We're sitting ducks.
913
01:05:27,519 --> 01:05:31,478
- Real tight on time.
- You stand by the door. Until I open it.
914
01:05:31,556 --> 01:05:34,787
I'd like to know how you plan on accomplishing that.
915
01:05:34,860 --> 01:05:36,828
Through here.
916
01:05:44,236 --> 01:05:47,933
- You're shitting me.
- I memorized the timing.
917
01:05:48,006 --> 01:05:50,304
I just hope it hasn't been changed.
918
01:05:50,375 --> 01:05:54,311
- You catch one of those flame bursts, you're a corpse.
- Thank you.
919
01:05:54,379 --> 01:05:58,315
- Commander, you said never leave his side, but, uh...
- Stand fast, Lieutenant.
920
01:05:58,383 --> 01:06:01,216
Have a nice day.
921
01:06:23,675 --> 01:06:27,475
- Where'd you dig up this guy?
- That's classified.
922
01:06:34,586 --> 01:06:37,384
Clear here, sir.No motion sensors tripped.
923
01:06:37,455 --> 01:06:39,389
Nothing.
924
01:06:39,457 --> 01:06:41,516
Well, tell them to stay out there.
925
01:06:41,593 --> 01:06:43,891
Sweep forward!
926
01:06:52,771 --> 01:06:54,762
Looks like he ****ed us,Commander.
927
01:06:54,839 --> 01:06:58,707
I knew it.That son of a bitch jumped ship.
928
01:07:03,915 --> 01:07:06,076
Welcome to the Rock.
929
01:07:20,098 --> 01:07:22,032
Mason.
930
01:07:22,100 --> 01:07:25,001
That's a no-no. That's the subway.
931
01:07:25,070 --> 01:07:27,004
That'll drop you into the tunnels.
932
01:07:27,639 --> 01:07:29,573
Do it!
933
01:07:46,224 --> 01:07:49,716
Sir, the Eagles have breached the tunnel system.
934
01:07:56,067 --> 01:07:58,228
You enjoying this?
935
01:07:58,302 --> 01:08:01,829
Well, it's certainly more enjoyable than my average day:
936
01:08:01,906 --> 01:08:06,240
Reading philosophy,avoiding gang rape in the washroom.
937
01:08:06,310 --> 01:08:10,371
Though it's less of a problem these days. Maybe I'm losing my sex appeal.
938
01:08:14,886 --> 01:08:18,151
We've got seismic activity in one of the storm grates. North side.
939
01:08:18,222 --> 01:08:21,020
Continue patrolling the area.
940
01:08:21,092 --> 01:08:24,289
Sweep forward.
941
01:08:24,362 --> 01:08:26,523
Commander, halt.We've got movement.
942
01:08:27,732 --> 01:08:30,257
They're hearing sounds above, sir.
943
01:08:30,334 --> 01:08:33,497
Stand fast.Down, down, down.
944
01:08:39,377 --> 01:08:42,005
West storm drain's clear.
945
01:08:46,350 --> 01:08:50,081
Ninety-seven paces to the shower room.
946
01:08:54,325 --> 01:08:58,887
The Eagles are now at the access tunnel.They're under the shower room, sir.
947
01:09:04,669 --> 01:09:06,330
Fiber optics.
948
01:09:10,174 --> 01:09:11,971
Something's not right.
949
01:09:12,043 --> 01:09:15,342
I've got a bad feeling about this.
950
01:09:33,264 --> 01:09:34,788
Quiet.
951
01:09:44,608 --> 01:09:47,133
Motion sensors.
952
01:09:47,211 --> 01:09:51,045
- Beams cutting across manhole covers.
- Deal with it.
953
01:09:56,454 --> 01:10:00,413
Commander, the beam is hitting some sort of reflective device.
954
01:10:00,491 --> 01:10:03,187
Possibly a prism.
955
01:10:05,596 --> 01:10:07,894
I want to use a mirror to cut the beam...
956
01:10:07,965 --> 01:10:11,128
send the beam back to its source...
957
01:10:11,202 --> 01:10:13,261
and then I'm going to move the prism.
958
01:10:13,337 --> 01:10:17,603
[Electronic Beeping]
959
01:10:17,675 --> 01:10:20,166
We've got motion on a trembler in the shower room, sir.
960
01:10:20,244 --> 01:10:22,405
We've got visitors.Let's move.
961
01:10:25,616 --> 01:10:28,346
Got it. Good to go.
962
01:10:28,419 --> 01:10:31,820
[Indistinct Shouting]
963
01:10:33,391 --> 01:10:35,621
Stand fast.We'll secure the area.
964
01:10:46,537 --> 01:10:50,029
They're entering to the shower room, sir.
965
01:10:52,743 --> 01:10:55,177
They're securing the area.
966
01:11:03,487 --> 01:11:05,546
Just sit tight.
967
01:11:09,060 --> 01:11:12,188
Drop your weapons!Drop 'em!
968
01:11:12,263 --> 01:11:14,231
- Get back!
- Hold your fire.
969
01:11:14,298 --> 01:11:16,391
Drop your weapons.Hold your fire!
970
01:11:19,336 --> 01:11:20,997
It's a ****ing trap.
971
01:11:23,040 --> 01:11:26,532
This is Gen. Hummel.Drop your weapons.
972
01:11:26,610 --> 01:11:28,544
Drop 'em!
973
01:11:28,612 --> 01:11:34,312
Anderson here, Gen. Hummel.Commander. Team leader.
974
01:11:34,385 --> 01:11:37,320
Cmdr. Anderson, if you have any concern for the lives of your men...
975
01:11:37,388 --> 01:11:40,516
you will order them to safety their weapons and place them on the deck.
976
01:11:40,591 --> 01:11:41,990
This is not happening.
977
01:11:42,059 --> 01:11:47,520
Sir, we know why you're out here.God knows I agree with you.
978
01:11:47,598 --> 01:11:51,830
But like you, I swore to defend this country against all enemies...
979
01:11:51,902 --> 01:11:56,066
foreign, sir, and domestic.
980
01:11:56,140 --> 01:12:00,577
General, we've spilled the same blood in the same mud.
981
01:12:00,644 --> 01:12:03,579
You know goddamn well I can't give that order.
982
01:12:03,647 --> 01:12:05,080
We're dead.
983
01:12:05,149 --> 01:12:08,744
Your unit is covered from an elevated position, Commander.
984
01:12:08,819 --> 01:12:12,585
I'm not gonna ask again.Don't do anything stupid.
985
01:12:12,756 --> 01:12:15,122
No one has to die here.
986
01:12:15,192 --> 01:12:19,561
Men following the general, you're under oath as United States Marines!
987
01:12:19,630 --> 01:12:21,564
Have you forgotten that?
988
01:12:22,833 --> 01:12:24,994
We all have shipmates we remember.
989
01:12:25,069 --> 01:12:28,470
Some of them were shit on and pissed on by the Pentagon.
990
01:12:28,539 --> 01:12:31,736
But that doesn't give you the right to mutiny!
991
01:12:31,809 --> 01:12:34,369
You call it what you want! You're down there; we're up here.
992
01:12:34,445 --> 01:12:36,572
You walked into the wrong goddamn room, Commander!
993
01:12:36,647 --> 01:12:38,774
- Stand fast!
- Commander, one last time.
994
01:12:38,849 --> 01:12:40,976
You tell your men to safety their weapons.
995
01:12:41,051 --> 01:12:43,679
- I cannot give that order!
- I am not gonna repeat that order!
996
01:12:43,754 --> 01:12:46,621
- I will not give that order!
- What the hell is wrong with you, man?
997
01:12:46,690 --> 01:12:48,089
- Stand fast!
- Oh, my God!
998
01:12:48,159 --> 01:12:51,322
- Let's waste these ****ers.
- One last time.
999
01:12:51,395 --> 01:12:53,556
You order your men to safety their weapons...
1000
01:12:53,631 --> 01:12:56,225
[Screaming]
1001
01:13:00,638 --> 01:13:02,629
Cease fire!
1002
01:13:21,692 --> 01:13:24,320
Don't go.
1003
01:13:26,197 --> 01:13:28,131
Cease fire!

1004
01:13:33,437 --> 01:13:35,598
[Screaming]
1005
01:13:37,041 --> 01:13:38,941
Cease fire!
1006
01:13:39,009 --> 01:13:43,275
Shit. Goddamn it.Let go of me. Let go of me!
1007
01:13:43,347 --> 01:13:45,577
Don't, don't go.
1008
01:13:54,558 --> 01:13:56,287
[Yelling]
1009
01:14:23,387 --> 01:14:24,649
****.
1010
01:14:35,165 --> 01:14:37,099
It's over.
1011
01:14:46,777 --> 01:14:49,211
[Gasping] Oh, God!
1012
01:15:19,410 --> 01:15:21,344
- [Beeping]
- We got some movement.
1013
01:15:21,412 --> 01:15:24,540
- Who? Who is it?
- Two of 'em. Eagles 11 and 12.
1014
01:15:24,616 --> 01:15:25,947
It's Goodspeed and Mason.
1015
01:15:26,017 --> 01:15:27,780
I knew it.
1016
01:15:27,852 --> 01:15:30,787
I've gotta get a team together.We've gotta move with the second option.
1017
01:15:30,855 --> 01:15:33,016
What, and invite another massacre? No way.
1018
01:15:33,091 --> 01:15:37,323
We've got a 60-year-old convict and a lab rat. I'm telling you, it's over.
1019
01:15:37,395 --> 01:15:39,590
Not for Mason it isn't.
1020
01:15:51,276 --> 01:15:55,144
Goodspeed, I'm not gonna kill you.
1021
01:15:57,815 --> 01:16:00,477
- Where are you going?
- Off this bloody island.
1022
01:16:00,552 --> 01:16:02,577
What? Wh... What for?
1023
01:16:02,654 --> 01:16:06,613
[Man On Radio] Goodspeed, do you read me?
1024
01:16:06,691 --> 01:16:08,522
It's for you.
1025
01:16:10,295 --> 01:16:12,422
- Sir?
- What's the status?
1026
01:16:12,497 --> 01:16:15,489
The status is, they're dead.They're dead!
1027
01:16:15,567 --> 01:16:17,501
It's just me and Mason.Now he says he's leaving.
1028
01:16:17,569 --> 01:16:21,972
That is unacceptable,do you hear me? Unacceptable!
1029
01:16:22,040 --> 01:16:24,668
Well, there's a problem, sir.He's got a gun.
1030
01:16:24,742 --> 01:16:27,643
What do you have,a ****in' water pistol?
1031
01:16:27,712 --> 01:16:30,681
- No, sir.
- Go after him and stop him.
1032
01:16:32,684 --> 01:16:36,518
I didn't want this.Jesus, I didn't want this.
1033
01:16:36,588 --> 01:16:39,386
- We knew this might happen.
- Maybe now they'll pay up.
1034
01:16:39,457 --> 01:16:43,621
- Maybe now they won't, Captain.
- Maybe we need to execute a few hostages.
1035
01:16:43,695 --> 01:16:46,493
- Got a live one!
- Put a bullet in him.
1036
01:16:46,564 --> 01:16:48,498
You heard him, end it.
1037
01:16:48,566 --> 01:16:50,500
Holster that sidearm, Captain!
1038
01:17:08,987 --> 01:17:11,046
Sir?
1039
01:17:14,459 --> 01:17:19,692
You made a terrible mistake. And more of our brothers have died in vain.
1040
01:17:19,764 --> 01:17:23,427
Damn you for forcing me into this position.
1041
01:17:26,871 --> 01:17:29,499
I need to talk to you.Right now, alone.
1042
01:17:29,574 --> 01:17:31,838
Now you told me I'm on a need-to-know basis...
1043
01:17:31,909 --> 01:17:37,245
and I'm tellin' you right now I need to know who the **** John Mason is right now, sir.
1044
01:17:37,315 --> 01:17:41,615
All right, you wanna know? 1962, J. Edgar Hoover...
1045
01:17:41,686 --> 01:17:44,450
is head of the FBI,some say the country.
1046
01:17:44,522 --> 01:17:48,424
It's no secret he kept microfilm files on prominent Americans and Europeans:
1047
01:17:48,493 --> 01:17:51,929
De Gaulle, British members of Parliament, even the prime minister.
1048
01:17:51,996 --> 01:17:55,432
I mean, this guy had dirt on everybody in the world.
1049
01:17:55,500 --> 01:17:58,992
Yeah. I know all the cloak-and-dagger stories.Where does Mason fit in?
1050
01:17:59,070 --> 01:18:01,937
Mason was the British operative who stole the files.
1051
01:18:02,006 --> 01:18:04,770
But our Bureau agents caught him at the Canadian border.
1052
01:18:04,842 --> 01:18:08,243
Of course, the British claimed they'd never heard of him.
1053
01:18:08,313 --> 01:18:12,716
And we held him without trial until he gave up the microfilm.
1054
01:18:12,784 --> 01:18:14,752
But he never did.
1055
01:18:14,819 --> 01:18:18,050
I'm surprised Hoover didn't use his daughter as leverage.
1056
01:18:18,122 --> 01:18:20,886
Hoover was dead in '72.She wasn't born yet.
1057
01:18:20,958 --> 01:18:24,621
Today, well, it's a different bureau.
1058
01:18:24,696 --> 01:18:28,996
So you held this guy without trial his whole life. No wonder he's pissed.
1059
01:18:29,067 --> 01:18:33,367
This man knows our most intimate secrets from the last half-century:
1060
01:18:33,438 --> 01:18:38,432
The alien landing at Roswell, the truth about the J.F.K. Assassination.
1061
01:18:38,509 --> 01:18:42,138
And Mason's angry, he's lethal.He's a trained killer.
1062
01:18:42,213 --> 01:18:47,446
And he is the only hope that we have got.
1063
01:18:47,518 --> 01:18:52,478
Mason! Mason!
1064
01:18:52,557 --> 01:18:54,889
There are 81 hostages still up there.
1065
01:18:54,959 --> 01:18:56,950
Yeah. Like me.
1066
01:18:57,028 --> 01:18:59,656
You wanna play tough?You wanna play tough with me?
1067
01:18:59,731 --> 01:19:02,598
Okay, FBI! Freeze, sucker!
1068
01:19:03,901 --> 01:19:08,031
- I'll fire.
- No, you won't.
1069
01:19:08,106 --> 01:19:12,600
- Throw down.
- You're not the sort.
1070
01:19:12,677 --> 01:19:14,611
Let's find out.
1071
01:19:18,116 --> 01:19:21,210
I could; you, no.
1072
01:19:21,285 --> 01:19:24,277
Besides, your safety's on.
1073
01:19:24,355 --> 01:19:27,950
Goodspeed, have you resolved the situation?
1074
01:19:28,025 --> 01:19:29,287
[Gasps]
1075
01:19:29,360 --> 01:19:31,294
Not yet.
1076
01:19:31,362 --> 01:19:34,160
He's got all the guns now, sir.
1077
01:19:34,232 --> 01:19:36,632
Shit!
1078
01:19:36,701 --> 01:19:41,195
You're right. I don't use guns and I don't kick down doors.This is what I do.
1079
01:19:41,272 --> 01:19:43,240
I haven't got my glasses.
1080
01:19:43,307 --> 01:19:46,504
What it says is,"Chemical Weapons Specialist."
1081
01:19:46,577 --> 01:19:48,067
That's right.
1082
01:19:48,146 --> 01:19:51,411
I got a lunatic up there, man,with 15 missiles...
1083
01:19:51,482 --> 01:19:53,382
armed with some really funky stuff.
1084
01:19:53,451 --> 01:19:59,048
That lying Womack.You could've told my daughter.
1085
01:19:59,123 --> 01:20:01,717
It was classified.
1086
01:20:01,793 --> 01:20:03,693
Look, I'm in the same situation.
1087
01:20:03,761 --> 01:20:06,992
They've got my girlfriend in the city with a baby on the way.
1088
01:20:07,064 --> 01:20:09,123
Look, I can defuse the rockets.
1089
01:20:09,200 --> 01:20:11,168
I really can.
1090
01:20:11,235 --> 01:20:14,329
But I'm gonna need your help,and I'm gonna need it right now.
1091
01:20:21,446 --> 01:20:24,609
Sir, this man's weapons and tack radio are missing!
1092
01:20:24,682 --> 01:20:27,981
Shit, we got a rodent problem.Flush the pipes.
1093
01:20:28,052 --> 01:20:31,385
There's probably a maze of tunnels on this goddamn island.Check every access you can find.
1094
01:20:31,456 --> 01:20:33,390
Sir!
1095
01:20:39,230 --> 01:20:41,630
Even if you escape from the island...
1096
01:20:41,699 --> 01:20:45,066
you can't escape the rockets.
1097
01:20:45,136 --> 01:20:47,070
So, where are you gonna go?
1098
01:20:47,138 --> 01:20:51,234
Go where? What're you gonna do?
1099
01:20:51,309 --> 01:20:54,540
[Stanley] Show me where the morgue is, Mason.
1100
01:20:54,612 --> 01:20:56,546
[Mason] I'm out of here.
1101
01:20:59,150 --> 01:21:02,984
[Stanley] What about your daughter? Mason?
1102
01:21:04,322 --> 01:21:06,847
Rodents located.
1103
01:21:06,924 --> 01:21:12,294
The way I see it, you don't really have any choice, do you? I don't think you do.
1104
01:21:23,741 --> 01:21:27,575
Move!
1105
01:21:30,848 --> 01:21:32,782
Ooooh!
1106
01:21:50,401 --> 01:21:52,335
They're on to us.
1107
01:21:52,403 --> 01:21:54,337
Burn 'em out.
1108
01:21:57,441 --> 01:21:59,705
This mother's gonna blow big.
1109
01:22:40,851 --> 01:22:44,878
I don't understand. How could we lose radio contact all of a sudden?
1110
01:22:44,956 --> 01:22:47,584
We've lost coms. Still got 'em on locaters.
1111
01:22:55,533 --> 01:22:59,469
- So what's it gonna be?
- What?
1112
01:22:59,537 --> 01:23:03,496
- How do you like your choices?
- I don't.
1113
01:23:03,574 --> 01:23:09,114
- That's what I thought.
- Come on.
1114
01:23:09,247 --> 01:23:12,580
This is the oldest part of Alcatraz.
1115
01:23:12,650 --> 01:23:15,619
Did you know it was originally a Civil War fort?
1116
01:23:15,687 --> 01:23:18,679
Oh, really? Yeah, wow. You know, I like history, too...
1117
01:23:18,756 --> 01:23:22,522
and maybe when this is over, you and I can stop by the souvenir shop together...
1118
01:23:22,594 --> 01:23:26,360
but right now, I just... I just... I wanna find some rockets.
1119
01:23:26,431 --> 01:23:29,525
Don't tempt me.
1120
01:23:29,601 --> 01:23:33,196
We are going to the morgue.
1121
01:23:55,493 --> 01:23:58,519
- You sure you're ready for this?
- I'll do my best.
1122
01:23:58,596 --> 01:24:01,087
Your best?
1123
01:24:01,166 --> 01:24:04,363
Losers always whine about their best.
1124
01:24:04,435 --> 01:24:08,667
Winners go home and **** the prom queen.
1125
01:24:10,141 --> 01:24:12,109
Carla was the prom queen.
1126
01:24:12,177 --> 01:24:15,806
- Really?
- Yeah.
1127
01:24:17,382 --> 01:24:20,317
Locaters have them approaching the morgue, sir.
1128
01:24:20,385 --> 01:24:22,979
Come on, come on, you can do it, Doc.
1129
01:24:30,762 --> 01:24:33,390
You must never hesitate.
1130
01:24:56,387 --> 01:24:59,652
I think you're shooting too close to the rocket.
1131
01:24:59,724 --> 01:25:01,624
Him, but not the rocket.
1132
01:25:01,693 --> 01:25:04,457
Any other news,professor?
1133
01:25:05,897 --> 01:25:09,458
The rocket! Not the rocket!
1134
01:25:19,510 --> 01:25:21,740
[Grunts]
1135
01:25:21,813 --> 01:25:23,781
[Groaning]
1136
01:25:23,848 --> 01:25:26,248
I got a little something for ya.
1137
01:25:49,474 --> 01:25:53,706
Yeah, okay, that's just about the most awful thing I've ever seen.
1138
01:25:55,446 --> 01:26:01,351
Mason... the second you don't respect this, it kills you.
1139
01:26:01,419 --> 01:26:03,717
Put it over there.
1140
01:26:14,932 --> 01:26:17,696
You've been around a lot of corpses. Is that normal?
1141
01:26:17,769 --> 01:26:21,034
- What, the feet thing?
- Yeah, the feet thing.
1142
01:26:21,105 --> 01:26:25,633
- Yeah, that happens.
- Can you do something about it?
1143
01:26:25,710 --> 01:26:28,406
Like what? Kill him again?
1144
01:26:28,479 --> 01:26:31,312
Listen, I'm just a biochemist.
1145
01:26:31,382 --> 01:26:35,512
Most of the time, I work in a glass jar and lead a very uneventful life.
1146
01:26:35,586 --> 01:26:38,054
I drive a Volvo,a beige one.
1147
01:26:38,122 --> 01:26:42,525
But what I'm dealing with is one of the most deadly substances the earth has ever known.
1148
01:26:42,593 --> 01:26:45,391
So what do you say you cut me some friggin' slack?
1149
01:26:53,571 --> 01:26:55,505
[Hissing]
1150
01:27:01,646 --> 01:27:03,637
A really elegant string-of-pearls configuration.
1151
01:27:03,715 --> 01:27:06,513
Unfortunately,incredibly unstable.
1152
01:27:06,584 --> 01:27:08,745
What exactly does this stuff do?
1153
01:27:08,820 --> 01:27:12,916
If the rocket renders it aerosol, it can take out the entire city of people.
1154
01:27:12,990 --> 01:27:17,359
Really? What happens if you drop one?
1155
01:27:17,428 --> 01:27:20,420
Happily, it'll just wipe out you and me.
1156
01:27:20,498 --> 01:27:23,831
- How?
- It's a cholinesterase inhibitor.
1157
01:27:23,901 --> 01:27:27,268
It stops the brain from sending nerve messages down the spinal cord within 30 seconds.
1158
01:27:27,338 --> 01:27:30,432
Any epidermal exposure or inhalation, and you'll know.
1159
01:27:30,508 --> 01:27:34,968
A twinge at the small of your back as the poison seizes your nervous system.
1160
01:27:35,046 --> 01:27:36,980
Do not move that!
1161
01:27:39,851 --> 01:27:43,514
Your muscles freeze,you can't breathe...
1162
01:27:43,588 --> 01:27:45,681
you spasm so hard you break your own back, spit your guts out.
1163
01:27:45,757 --> 01:27:48,783
But that's after your skin melts off.
1164
01:27:48,860 --> 01:27:51,328
My God.
1165
01:27:51,396 --> 01:27:54,729
Well, I think we'd like God on our side at the moment, don't you?
1166
01:27:54,799 --> 01:27:59,168
So what I'm doing now is removing the guidance system chips...
1167
01:27:59,237 --> 01:28:02,638
so the rocket'll splash down after 500 feet.
1168
01:28:02,707 --> 01:28:05,574
All right, let me have that.You can let go of it.
1169
01:28:05,643 --> 01:28:08,578
All right, just back away.Just back away!
1170
01:28:08,646 --> 01:28:12,275
Sir, morgue team has not checked in.
1171
01:28:14,318 --> 01:28:16,616
Blackbird One,it's Blackbird, over.
1172
01:28:16,687 --> 01:28:21,488
Blackbird One,this is Blackbird, come in, goddamn it!
1173
01:28:23,728 --> 01:28:27,220
Somebody's still there.Let's move!
1174
01:28:27,298 --> 01:28:29,664
Rats alive! Close on the morgue! Close on the morgue!
1175
01:28:29,734 --> 01:28:31,793
Go, go, go, go,go, go, go, go!
1176
01:28:31,869 --> 01:28:35,270
Frye, Darrow, hustle up.We got more company!
1177
01:28:38,676 --> 01:28:43,579
[Hummel] Hold it! Converge on the morgue! Move out!
1178
01:28:43,648 --> 01:28:47,311
Goodspeed, come on.Come over here.
1179
01:28:47,385 --> 01:28:50,582
Yeah, I love pressure,I eat it for breakfast.
1180
01:28:50,655 --> 01:28:52,122
Come on. Time's up.
1181
01:28:52,190 --> 01:28:54,658
There's three rockets somewhere else. We have to find them!
1182
01:28:58,029 --> 01:29:00,589
Come on!
1183
01:29:18,583 --> 01:29:20,517
Clear!
1184
01:29:22,520 --> 01:29:25,080
I'm too old for this!
1185
01:29:25,156 --> 01:29:28,250
- Where's it go?
- I've no idea.
1186
01:29:28,326 --> 01:29:30,920
Sir, all the guidance chips are gone.
1187
01:29:30,995 --> 01:29:33,930
Captain, I guess you didn't quite take care of the rat problem.
1188
01:29:33,998 --> 01:29:35,556
No, sir.
1189
01:29:35,633 --> 01:29:39,069
Well, there are two dead men who strongly suggest you go finish the job.
1190
01:29:39,136 --> 01:29:41,127
Yes, sir.Yes, sir!
1191
01:29:41,205 --> 01:29:43,765
[Indistinct Shouting]
1192
01:29:49,547 --> 01:29:52,675
- You really don't know where this goes?
- No, I don't know where it goes.
1193
01:29:52,750 --> 01:29:55,548
Well, we're picking up speed.Do you know how to slow it down?
1194
01:29:55,620 --> 01:29:57,554
No, I don't.
1195
01:30:19,110 --> 01:30:23,638
[Grunting]
1196
01:30:25,616 --> 01:30:27,880
God!
1197
01:30:33,824 --> 01:30:37,885
[Groaning] Mason! You all right?
1198
01:30:37,995 --> 01:30:41,522
Yes, perfectly okay,you ****ing idiot.
1199
01:30:43,467 --> 01:30:45,560
They're coming.
1200
01:30:45,636 --> 01:30:48,230
- Who?
- The marines!
1201
01:30:48,306 --> 01:30:50,240
Where?
1202
01:31:40,859 --> 01:31:44,260
[Screaming]
1203
01:31:44,329 --> 01:31:47,560
[Screaming Continues]
1204
01:31:51,469 --> 01:31:55,701
- What the ****'s goin' on?
- Let's cut him off.
1205
01:31:55,773 --> 01:31:57,934
[Screams]
1206
01:32:01,779 --> 01:32:05,237
[Screaming Continues]
1207
01:32:10,455 --> 01:32:14,050
[Screaming]
1208
01:32:18,396 --> 01:32:21,388
Mason!
1209
01:32:23,101 --> 01:32:25,331
Mason!
1210
01:32:46,391 --> 01:32:48,325
[Grunting]
1211
01:33:17,488 --> 01:33:19,888
[Grunting]
1212
01:33:40,845 --> 01:33:45,544
You mother****er,die, die, die!
1213
01:34:06,471 --> 01:34:11,204
I'm rather glad you didn't hesitate too long.
1214
01:34:13,578 --> 01:34:16,911
How do you do it?
1215
01:34:16,981 --> 01:34:22,715
Oh, I was trained by the best.
British Intelligence.
1216
01:34:22,787 --> 01:34:25,620
Come on.
1217
01:34:25,690 --> 01:34:30,923
But in retrospect, I'd rather have been a poet or a farmer.
1218
01:34:30,995 --> 01:34:32,998
Okay.
1219
01:34:36,934 --> 01:34:40,437
Okay, the president arrives in three hours.
1220
01:34:40,570 --> 01:34:44,370
His directive is to string Hummel along until the air strike is operational.
1221
01:34:44,441 --> 01:34:46,875
What's the word from Mojave, General?
1222
01:34:46,943 --> 01:34:51,380
Same as last time, Lou.They're going as fast as they can.
1223
01:34:56,386 --> 01:34:57,785
Do it over here.
1224
01:34:57,854 --> 01:35:00,414
On your knees!
1225
01:35:10,066 --> 01:35:12,000
[Hummel] Navy SEALS, listen up.
1226
01:35:12,068 --> 01:35:13,695
You've got something that belongs to me.

1227
01:35:13,770 --> 01:35:16,238
Twelve guidance chips to be precise.
1228
01:35:16,306 --> 01:35:20,606
Let me remind you that there are lives at stake, civilian lives.
1229
01:35:20,677 --> 01:35:21,939
Speak up.
1230
01:35:22,011 --> 01:35:22,773
[Panting]
1231
01:35:22,846 --> 01:35:26,111
- Speak up!
- Oh! I, uh...
1232
01:35:26,182 --> 01:35:27,809
- Uh...
- Tell them your name.
1233
01:35:27,884 --> 01:35:30,079
My name is Larry Henderson.
1234
01:35:30,153 --> 01:35:31,745
Oh, man.
1235
01:35:31,821 --> 01:35:34,790
And I'm a father of three, and, uh...
1236
01:35:34,858 --> 01:35:37,725
they've got a gun to my head.
1237
01:35:37,794 --> 01:35:41,594
You've got exactly three minutes to return the guidance chips...
1238
01:35:41,664 --> 01:35:43,598
or Mr. Henderson won't have a head.
1239
01:35:43,666 --> 01:35:47,966
Oh, no.Hey, what...
1240
01:35:48,037 --> 01:35:52,997
Now, three to go.You find them and defuse them.
1241
01:35:53,076 --> 01:35:56,443
- Okay?
- All right. All right.
1242
01:35:56,513 --> 01:36:00,176
I'll try and delay Hummel and give you more time.
1243
01:36:00,250 --> 01:36:03,447
Hey, what about Mr. Henderson's head?
1244
01:36:06,155 --> 01:36:09,124
Okay. What do you mean?
1245
01:36:13,363 --> 01:36:15,524
Okay.
1246
01:36:16,432 --> 01:36:19,230
[Hostages Chattering]
1247
01:36:28,811 --> 01:36:30,039
General.
1248
01:36:30,113 --> 01:36:32,206
Who the hell are you?
1249
01:36:34,017 --> 01:36:36,485
I'm all that's left of the enemy.
1250
01:36:50,633 --> 01:36:52,157
Bingo.
1251
01:37:01,110 --> 01:37:03,044
Stand easy.
1252
01:37:05,615 --> 01:37:10,018
Thought I'd been in the service a long time.
1253
01:37:10,086 --> 01:37:11,678
Name and rank, sailor.
1254
01:37:11,754 --> 01:37:14,416
It's Army, actually.
1255
01:37:14,490 --> 01:37:18,324
Answer the question.And address him as "General, sir."
1256
01:37:19,929 --> 01:37:23,057
Captain John Patrick Mason, General,sir...
1257
01:37:23,132 --> 01:37:25,259
of Her Majesty's S.A.S.
1258
01:37:25,335 --> 01:37:27,064
Retired, of course.
1259
01:37:30,974 --> 01:37:33,909
You're a long way from home, Captain.
1260
01:37:33,977 --> 01:37:36,502
How the hell are you involved in this?
1261
01:37:36,579 --> 01:37:39,514
I have a unique knowledge of this prison facility.
1262
01:37:39,582 --> 01:37:42,278
I was, uh...formerly a guest here.
1263
01:37:56,199 --> 01:37:57,860
Hi, sweetie.
1264
01:37:58,868 --> 01:37:59,960
[Screaming]
1265
01:38:05,475 --> 01:38:07,841
Hey, come back here,little boy.
1266
01:38:09,946 --> 01:38:12,437
Did they bother to tell you who I am, why I'm doing this...
1267
01:38:12,515 --> 01:38:14,779
or are they just using you like they do everybody else?
1268
01:38:14,851 --> 01:38:18,810
All I know is you were big in Vietnam.I saw the highlights on television.
1269
01:38:18,888 --> 01:38:23,018
You wouldn't have any idea what it means to lead the finest men on God's earth into battle...
1270
01:38:23,092 --> 01:38:26,061
and then see their memory betrayed by their own ****in' government!
1271
01:38:26,129 --> 01:38:31,066
I don't quite see how you cherish the memory of the dead by killing another million.
1272
01:38:31,134 --> 01:38:34,934
And, uh...this is not combat.
1273
01:38:35,004 --> 01:38:39,304
It's an act of lunacy,General, sir.
1274
01:38:39,375 --> 01:38:42,105
Personally, I think you're a ****in' idiot.
1275
01:38:48,317 --> 01:38:50,376
"The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time...
1276
01:38:50,453 --> 01:38:53,422
"with the blood of patriots and tyrants." Thomas Jefferson.
1277
01:38:53,489 --> 01:38:59,291
"Patriotism is the virtue of the vicious,"according to Oscar Wilde.
1278
01:38:59,362 --> 01:39:03,958
[Grunts, Groaning]
1279
01:39:04,033 --> 01:39:06,297
Thank you for making my point.
1280
01:39:06,369 --> 01:39:10,772
Where are the guidance chips?Where are the guidance chips!
1281
01:39:10,840 --> 01:39:13,206
I destroyed them.
1282
01:39:13,276 --> 01:39:15,938
That was a bad move, soldier.
1283
01:39:16,012 --> 01:39:18,105
Does that mean you'll execute us both?
1284
01:39:24,921 --> 01:39:27,185
[Rapid Gunfire]
1285
01:39:35,198 --> 01:39:39,430
[Choking, Yelling]
1286
01:39:40,636 --> 01:39:44,367
[Screams, Grunts]
1287
01:39:47,243 --> 01:39:49,643
You're lucky that old man Hummel wants you alive.
1288
01:39:49,712 --> 01:39:51,839
'Cause I'd take pleasure in guttin' you, boy.
1289
01:39:58,687 --> 01:40:03,647
[Stanley] I'd take pleasure in guttin' you... boy.
1290
01:40:03,725 --> 01:40:09,254
I'll take pleasure in guttin' you. Boy.
1291
01:40:09,331 --> 01:40:11,265
What is wrong with these people, huh, Mason?
1292
01:40:11,333 --> 01:40:15,463
Don't you think there's a lot of anger floatin' around this island?
1293
01:40:15,537 --> 01:40:18,563
Kind of a pubescent volatility?Don't you think?
1294
01:40:18,640 --> 01:40:23,077
A lot of angst, lot of "I'm 16,I'm angry at my father" syndrome?
1295
01:40:23,145 --> 01:40:25,443
I mean, grow up!We're stuck on an island...
1296
01:40:25,514 --> 01:40:28,574
with a bunch of violence-for-pleasure-seeking psychopathic marines.
1297
01:40:28,650 --> 01:40:31,312
Shame on them!
1298
01:40:31,386 --> 01:40:33,616
[Clears Throat]
1299
01:40:33,689 --> 01:40:36,715
Anyway, I only got one chem rod,and there's two left.
1300
01:40:36,792 --> 01:40:38,726
Mason?
1301
01:40:38,794 --> 01:40:40,728
Yes, I'm here.
1302
01:40:40,796 --> 01:40:43,560
I was just thinking how wonderful it was...
1303
01:40:43,632 --> 01:40:46,465
when the inmates weren't allowed to talk in here.
1304
01:40:46,535 --> 01:40:49,231
Not allowed to talk.
1305
01:40:49,304 --> 01:40:51,568
How did you do it?
1306
01:40:51,640 --> 01:40:56,270
[Sighs] Nurtured the hope that there was hope...
1307
01:40:56,345 --> 01:40:59,906
that one day I'd breathe free air.
1308
01:40:59,982 --> 01:41:03,349
Perhaps meet my daughter.
1309
01:41:03,418 --> 01:41:07,479
Modest hopes,but they kept a man alive.
1310
01:41:07,556 --> 01:41:11,458
What did they put you away for, John?
1311
01:41:11,526 --> 01:41:14,359
Oh, that's a long story.
1312
01:41:14,429 --> 01:41:16,522
Well, I'm not going anywhere.
1313
01:41:16,598 --> 01:41:20,261
When was the last communication from our men on Alcatraz?
1314
01:41:20,335 --> 01:41:22,599
Seven hours.
1315
01:41:22,671 --> 01:41:26,801
- [Phone Rings]
- Thermite plasma is operational.
1316
01:41:26,875 --> 01:41:29,366
Get me the president.
1317
01:41:29,444 --> 01:41:33,141
Be seated. Gentlemen,consider yourselves on ground alert.
1318
01:41:33,215 --> 01:41:36,184
If we receive launch authority,your mission:
1319
01:41:36,251 --> 01:41:39,118
The complete thermal destruction of Alcatraz Island.
1320
01:41:39,187 --> 01:41:42,350
The entire island is to be blanketed,not one square inch missed.
1321
01:41:42,424 --> 01:41:47,657
Eighty-one American civilians and a number of U.S. Marines will lose their lives.
1322
01:41:49,464 --> 01:41:55,061
Why didn't you just tell them where the microfilm was and create a solution?
1323
01:41:55,137 --> 01:41:59,801
[Chuckles] The moment they had the microfilm, they'd suicide me.
1324
01:41:59,875 --> 01:42:03,072
- Some solution.
- You ended up here.
1325
01:42:03,145 --> 01:42:06,546
Which brings me to another question.
1326
01:42:06,615 --> 01:42:10,016
You broke out... let me see if I can get this straight...
1327
01:42:10,085 --> 01:42:14,647
you went down the incinerator chute,on the mine car...
1328
01:42:14,723 --> 01:42:17,385
through the tunnels to the power plant...
1329
01:42:17,459 --> 01:42:21,190
under the steam engine...that was really cool, by the way...
1330
01:42:21,263 --> 01:42:24,755
and into the cistern through the intake pipe...
1331
01:42:24,833 --> 01:42:29,293
[Clears Throat] but how,in the name of Zeus's butthole...
1332
01:42:29,371 --> 01:42:32,306
did you get out of your cell?
1333
01:42:32,374 --> 01:42:35,366
I only ask because in our current situation...
1334
01:42:35,444 --> 01:42:40,677
well, it could prove to be useful information, maybe!
1335
01:42:58,033 --> 01:43:00,831
Trade secrets, my son.
1336
01:43:02,537 --> 01:43:04,232
Wow.
1337
01:43:05,674 --> 01:43:07,039
General, two operational rockets left.
1338
01:43:07,109 --> 01:43:09,805
One at the lower lighthouse and one at the roof.
1339
01:43:09,878 --> 01:43:13,678
Both of the birds are ready to fly, sir. General, can you hear me?
1340
01:43:13,749 --> 01:43:16,843
- I heard you, Captain.
- Just makin' sure.
1341
01:43:18,453 --> 01:43:21,445
Should we... prepare for launch, General?
1342
01:43:22,758 --> 01:43:25,090
I'll handle the strategy, Captain.
1343
01:43:25,160 --> 01:43:27,856
Yes, sir.
1344
01:43:27,929 --> 01:43:32,093
The hour is approaching. Just letting the General know of the time, sir.
1345
01:43:32,167 --> 01:43:34,101
I'm very aware of the time, Captain.
1346
01:43:34,169 --> 01:43:36,467
Aye, aye, sir.Lettin' you know.
1347
01:43:36,538 --> 01:43:39,234
Me and my boys are cocked,locked and ready to rock.
1348
01:43:41,209 --> 01:43:43,143
Mason, where are you going?
1349
01:43:43,211 --> 01:43:45,736
Thirty years ago I vowed I wouldn't die in this toilet.
1350
01:43:45,814 --> 01:43:51,116
You're not leaving! There's a madman in there with his hand on a button!
1351
01:43:51,186 --> 01:43:54,986
Shhh. Some sniper's gonna get his ass.
1352
01:43:55,056 --> 01:43:57,217
Stop moving, Mason.
1353
01:43:59,261 --> 01:44:01,661
Mason, stop moving.
1354
01:44:01,730 --> 01:44:05,131
Hummel won't do it.He's a soldier, not a murderer.
1355
01:44:05,200 --> 01:44:07,498
I read it in his eyes.
1356
01:44:07,569 --> 01:44:11,300
Read his eyes? Oh, well,then everything's just fine!
1357
01:44:11,373 --> 01:44:14,570
- I can't afford to take that chance. - Why don't you talk louder?
1358
01:44:14,643 --> 01:44:17,168
Three minutes to go, sir.
1359
01:44:18,980 --> 01:44:21,881
- They're not gonna call for it.
- Oh, they'll call.
1360
01:44:21,950 --> 01:44:25,317
They'll call if we fire one of our rockets up their ass.
1361
01:44:25,387 --> 01:44:28,413
Sir.
1362
01:44:28,490 --> 01:44:30,788
[Phone Ringing]
1363
01:44:32,961 --> 01:44:36,021
- Hummel.
- Hi, Frank, it's Al Kramer here.
1364
01:44:36,097 --> 01:44:39,032
- How's it going out there?
- How do you think it's going?
1365
01:44:39,100 --> 01:44:42,558
- We're gonna need another hour, Frank.
- You've got three minutes.
1366
01:44:42,637 --> 01:44:46,937
- We have to get authorization from the president.
- You've got three minutes.
1367
01:44:47,008 --> 01:44:50,409
Frank, please don't do anything stupid.
1368
01:44:50,478 --> 01:44:54,278
They want another hour.
1369
01:44:54,349 --> 01:44:57,716
That's bullshit.That's bullshit, General. They're lying.
1370
01:44:57,786 --> 01:45:02,280
They're calling our bluff, sir.They're playing you for a fool.
1371
01:45:02,357 --> 01:45:07,124
Sir, order the launch, General.
1372
01:45:07,195 --> 01:45:10,756
Come on, General,let's be all we can be.
1373
01:45:25,180 --> 01:45:27,341
The mission's not complete!
1374
01:45:27,415 --> 01:45:29,383
Well, mine is.
1375
01:45:29,451 --> 01:45:32,181
When this is over,you'll go back home...
1376
01:45:32,254 --> 01:45:37,021
driving Carla and your baby insane in your beige Volvo.
1377
01:45:37,092 --> 01:45:40,687
And I'll be dead, or back in prison,which is the same thing.
1378
01:45:40,762 --> 01:45:45,165
You're not leaving.[Grunts, Groaning]
1379
01:45:47,569 --> 01:45:51,528
All right...I'll do it myself.
1380
01:45:52,674 --> 01:45:54,904
I got three weeks'weapons training.
1381
01:45:54,976 --> 01:45:59,276
I'll kick the... out of a platoon full of marines.
1382
01:45:59,347 --> 01:46:02,214
No problem.
1383
01:46:13,161 --> 01:46:15,220
Major, patch me into roof battery.
1384
01:46:15,297 --> 01:46:16,525
Aye, sir.
1385
01:46:16,598 --> 01:46:20,534
Fire open control circuit coordinates to the roof, sir.
1386
01:46:20,602 --> 01:46:23,002
Let's go!
1387
01:46:28,310 --> 01:46:30,369
Laser powered up.
1388
01:46:30,445 --> 01:46:32,379
Oh, no.
1389
01:46:32,447 --> 01:46:35,075
I said, on your knees!
1390
01:46:35,150 --> 01:46:37,516
My name's Stanley Goodspeed.
1391
01:46:37,585 --> 01:46:40,611
I'm a chemical weapons specialist for the FBI.
1392
01:46:40,689 --> 01:46:42,748
- Uh, glass or plastic?
- What?
1393
01:46:42,824 --> 01:46:45,349
- Glass or plastic!
- Shut the **** up!
1394
01:46:45,427 --> 01:46:48,954
Because if the winds change,and if you launch those rockets,we're all gonna die.
1395
01:46:49,030 --> 01:46:50,429
Shut up!
1396
01:46:50,498 --> 01:46:54,525
And you're gonna end up in either a glass jar or a plastic bag.
1397
01:46:54,602 --> 01:46:59,471
So do the math, hand over the gun and let's go find some rockets!
1398
01:46:59,541 --> 01:47:02,874
I said shut the ****...[Neck Snaps]
1399
01:47:07,582 --> 01:47:11,177
[Panting] You made the right choice.
1400
01:47:11,252 --> 01:47:15,450
I decided I didn't want your child growing up without a father.
1401
01:47:15,523 --> 01:47:18,856
Hey, the last time I swam this channel I was your age.
1402
01:47:18,927 --> 01:47:21,953
So I'm ****ed either way.So come on.
1403
01:47:22,030 --> 01:47:24,931
The weapon is hot.I am standing by for the launch command.
1404
01:47:25,000 --> 01:47:28,527
Man, killing Navy SEALs is one thing...Is this for real?
1405
01:47:28,603 --> 01:47:31,231
Hey, it's business.
1406
01:47:33,842 --> 01:47:36,504
Access code entered.Weapon available for release.
1407
01:47:36,578 --> 01:47:38,512
Launch coordinates:
1408
01:47:38,580 --> 01:47:42,812
Six, seven, five, four,
five, niner.
1409
01:47:44,519 --> 01:47:46,851
The weapon is hot.
1410
01:47:46,921 --> 01:47:49,651
I'm standing by for launch command.
1411
01:47:49,724 --> 01:47:51,749
It's affirmative.
1412
01:47:54,829 --> 01:47:58,060
[Bell Chiming]
1413
01:47:58,133 --> 01:48:00,624
Standing by for command.
1414
01:48:08,610 --> 01:48:11,170
I'm waiting for a launch command, General.
1415
01:48:19,253 --> 01:48:21,312
- Fire.
- Fire!
1416
01:48:27,161 --> 01:48:29,459
Missile loose! Missile loose!
1417
01:48:35,002 --> 01:48:39,598
Origin: Alcatraz, 67253725.
1418
01:48:39,673 --> 01:48:41,766
What's the heading?
1419
01:48:41,842 --> 01:48:43,776
Heading 185 degrees south southeast.
1420
01:48:43,844 --> 01:48:45,835
- Speed?
- 300 knots.
1421
01:48:45,913 --> 01:48:47,938
It's headed right at Oakland.
1422
01:48:48,015 --> 01:48:50,677
The football game.
1423
01:48:52,986 --> 01:48:54,783
Oh, my God.
1424
01:49:17,711 --> 01:49:20,771
Missile radically changing direction.
1425
01:49:25,886 --> 01:49:30,380
New direction: 275 degrees west.It's headed out to sea, sir.
1426
01:49:30,457 --> 01:49:32,687
Oh, Christ!
1427
01:49:34,161 --> 01:49:38,097
Missile losing altitude.Falling.
1428
01:49:38,165 --> 01:49:42,795
Falling, 300 feet, 200, 100.
1429
01:49:44,805 --> 01:49:47,706
Bogey detonated under water.
1430
01:49:49,943 --> 01:49:52,138
What the ****?
1431
01:49:52,279 --> 01:49:55,680
- It missed.
- Well, that's great.
1432
01:49:55,749 --> 01:49:59,241
Extremely great,but there's still one left.
1433
01:49:59,319 --> 01:50:03,050
What happened to the rocket?What happened to the coordinates?
1434
01:50:03,123 --> 01:50:06,354
What the **** is going on?Sir! Major!
1435
01:50:06,426 --> 01:50:08,986
Captain, step outside.
1436
01:50:09,062 --> 01:50:11,792
- Talk to me, sir.
- Captain, step outside!
1437
01:50:25,112 --> 01:50:27,512
Get me the Pentagon.
1438
01:50:40,327 --> 01:50:42,693
What the hell was that, Frank?
1439
01:50:44,564 --> 01:50:47,294
- I said, what the hell...
- I heard what you said!
1440
01:50:47,367 --> 01:50:50,894
- I'd appreciate a little more respect.
- Cut the crap, General.
1441
01:50:50,971 --> 01:50:53,371
- What the hell are you doing?
- I'm not ready to kill these people.
1442
01:50:53,440 --> 01:50:55,499
- Call the Pentagon. Ask for more time.
- No.
1443
01:50:55,575 --> 01:50:58,669
Do it, Frank!We're coming loose.
1444
01:50:58,745 --> 01:51:01,873
You're coming loose.The rest of us are in complete control.
1445
01:51:01,949 --> 01:51:04,918
- We're gonna ask for a new deadline.
- Put the phone down.
1446
01:51:04,985 --> 01:51:08,421
- The men are falling apart!
- The men are marines!
- Are they?
1447
01:51:08,488 --> 01:51:11,423
I wanna talk to Gen. Kramer.
1448
01:51:11,491 --> 01:51:14,483
- You've been asked by an old friend.
- Put him on the phone right now.
1449
01:51:14,561 --> 01:51:16,688
- You've been ordered.
- This is Major Baxter!
1450
01:51:16,763 --> 01:51:20,130
Now you're being given your last chance by a man with a gun.
1451
01:51:20,200 --> 01:51:22,225
Put the phone down.
1452
01:51:24,071 --> 01:51:26,505
I thought you weren't ready to kill.
1453
01:51:26,573 --> 01:51:29,269
I'm warming up.
1454
01:51:29,343 --> 01:51:31,504
At ease.
1455
01:51:40,120 --> 01:51:43,248
They need a decision, Mr. President.
1456
01:51:49,196 --> 01:51:53,155
[Sighs] These past few hours...
1457
01:51:53,233 --> 01:51:57,533
have been the longest, darkest of my life.
1458
01:51:57,604 --> 01:52:01,062
How does one weigh human life?
1459
01:52:02,509 --> 01:52:06,036
One million civilians against 81 hostages.
1460
01:52:06,113 --> 01:52:09,514
And in the middle, Frank Hummel.
1461
01:52:09,583 --> 01:52:14,782
[Sighs] That we have ignored, abandoned...
1462
01:52:14,855 --> 01:52:18,256
or marginalized a great soldier like Frank Hummel...
1463
01:52:18,325 --> 01:52:21,556
and American boys have paid for that neglect...
1464
01:52:21,628 --> 01:52:25,064
with blood is equally real...
1465
01:52:25,132 --> 01:52:27,566
and equally tragic.
1466
01:52:30,103 --> 01:52:32,230
We are at war with terror...
1467
01:52:32,305 --> 01:52:35,900
and fighting war means casualties.
1468
01:52:35,976 --> 01:52:39,412
This is the worst call I've ever had to make.
1469
01:52:43,550 --> 01:52:45,142
Air strike approved.
1470
01:52:49,322 --> 01:52:51,347
Red Thunder to Tower.equest clearance.
1471
01:52:51,425 --> 01:52:54,394
The amount of firepower they're gonna drop in there...
1472
01:52:54,461 --> 01:52:56,520
This is strike leader.Prepared to go.
1473
01:52:56,596 --> 01:52:59,030
It'll be over in a few seconds.
1474
01:52:59,099 --> 01:53:00,967
[Pilot] Flight time to drop point: 17 minutes.
1475
01:53:07,440 --> 01:53:11,843
Excuse me, General, sir,with all due respect to you,but what the **** is going on?
1476
01:53:11,911 --> 01:53:15,540
- You changed the coordinates, didn't you, General?
- That's affirmative, Captain.
1477
01:53:15,614 --> 01:53:19,573
Now they think we're gutless, the Feds? They think we won't actually do it.
1478
01:53:19,652 --> 01:53:22,416
They're gonna come at us with everything they got. Air and sea.
1479
01:53:22,488 --> 01:53:25,184
They're gonna bomb our ass back to the Stone Age.
1480
01:53:25,257 --> 01:53:27,748
They don't know we missed on purpose.
1481
01:53:27,827 --> 01:53:30,694
Great. We're not gutless.We're incompetent.
1482
01:53:30,763 --> 01:53:32,697
That right?
1483
01:53:32,765 --> 01:53:35,427
I don't think I like your tone, Captain.
1484
01:53:35,501 --> 01:53:39,267
We planned for this contingency.Load the V.X. Into the choppers,take four hostages and evacuate.
1485
01:53:39,338 --> 01:53:41,772
The consequences of our actions I'll face alone.
1486
01:53:41,841 --> 01:53:44,901
Excuse me, General, but what about the ****ing money?
1487
01:53:44,977 --> 01:53:47,502
There is no ****ing money.Mission's over.
1488
01:53:47,580 --> 01:53:49,377
Bullshit it's over.
1489
01:53:49,448 --> 01:53:53,009
You're talking to a General,soldier! Maintain discipline!
1490
01:53:53,085 --> 01:53:57,749
I'm not a soldier, Major. The day we took hostages we became mercenaries.
1491
01:53:57,823 --> 01:54:02,692
And mercenaries get paid.I want my ****ing money!
1492
01:54:02,762 --> 01:54:06,357
This mission was based on the threat of force.
1493
01:54:06,432 --> 01:54:09,128
I'm not about to kill 80,000 innocent people.
1494
01:54:09,201 --> 01:54:12,534
Do you think I'm out of my ****ing mind?
1495
01:54:12,605 --> 01:54:15,631
We bluffed. They called it.The mission's over.
1496
01:54:18,844 --> 01:54:21,813
Who ever said anything about bluffing, General?
1497
01:54:21,881 --> 01:54:24,714
Stand down, Captain.
1498
01:54:29,221 --> 01:54:32,452
Stand down, Captain!
1499
01:54:37,096 --> 01:54:41,931
Major, I'm ordering you to take these men to the choppers and evacuate.
1500
01:54:42,001 --> 01:54:45,402
That's a simple order, Major!
1501
01:54:45,471 --> 01:54:47,632
It's not so simple, Frank.
1502
01:54:47,706 --> 01:54:51,107
Sgt. Crisp,secure the general.
1503
01:54:52,545 --> 01:54:55,480
I'm relieving you of your command, sir.
1504
01:54:59,251 --> 01:55:02,015
Sergeant!
1505
01:55:08,627 --> 01:55:11,687
- I'll have that sidearm, sir.
- You mean this sidearm?
1506
01:55:20,606 --> 01:55:24,064
Maj. Baxter, you're either with us or against us.
1507
01:55:29,648 --> 01:55:33,584
It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve with you, General.
1508
01:55:37,890 --> 01:55:43,055
But like he said...it's over.
1509
01:55:43,129 --> 01:55:45,529
[Grunts]
1510
01:56:00,579 --> 01:56:02,740
Let's get him.
1511
01:56:07,453 --> 01:56:09,444
Mason!
1512
01:56:11,590 --> 01:56:14,491
[Groaning] My God, what have I done?
1513
01:56:14,560 --> 01:56:18,291
Where's the last rocket?Where's the last rocket?
1514
01:56:20,099 --> 01:56:23,091
- Where's the last rocket?
- Lower lighthouse.
1515
01:56:23,169 --> 01:56:25,763
- Lower lighthouse!
- Go.
1516
01:56:38,250 --> 01:56:41,981
Darrow, go to the lighthouse! I'll take care of this ****er!
1517
01:56:48,294 --> 01:56:50,922
One, two, three!
1518
01:56:50,996 --> 01:56:53,624
Eat that!
1519
01:57:02,775 --> 01:57:04,766
[Groaning]
1520
01:57:06,879 --> 01:57:08,369
Did it.
1521
01:57:33,639 --> 01:57:36,233
[Grunts]
1522
01:57:37,409 --> 01:57:39,343
[Groans]
1523
01:57:39,411 --> 01:57:43,177
Come here. Come here, you little chickensh...
1524
01:57:43,249 --> 01:57:46,741
You shoot me, I drop this.We're both dead.
1525
01:57:46,819 --> 01:57:49,617
Come on. Come on.Don't be scared.I won't hurt you.
1526
01:57:49,688 --> 01:57:51,918
- Com on.
- You know how this shit works?
1527
01:57:51,991 --> 01:57:54,926
You know how this shit works?
1528
01:57:56,695 --> 01:57:58,322
Come on.
1529
01:58:00,299 --> 01:58:02,460
I don't need a gun.I'll put it down.
1530
01:58:02,534 --> 01:58:06,868
Come on. Let's play.Come on. Come on.
1531
01:58:06,939 --> 01:58:11,603
Listen, I think we got started off on the wrong foot. Stan Goodspeed, FBI.
1532
01:58:11,677 --> 01:58:14,942
Let's talk music. Do you like the Elton John song, "Rocket Man"?
1533
01:58:15,014 --> 01:58:19,383
- I don't like soft-ass shit.
- Oh, you... Oh, oh.
1534
01:58:19,451 --> 01:58:24,582
Well, I only bring it up because it's you. You're the Rocket Man.
1535
01:58:26,458 --> 01:58:28,722
[Screaming]
1536
01:58:31,563 --> 01:58:33,656
How do you like how that shit works?
1537
01:58:33,732 --> 01:58:35,791
Second rocket's away!
1538
01:58:35,868 --> 01:58:38,894
[Screaming Continues]
1539
01:58:40,272 --> 01:58:43,503
- [Squelching Noise]
- [Groaning]
1540
01:58:43,575 --> 01:58:45,668
It splashed into the bay, sir.No detonation.
1541
01:58:45,744 --> 01:58:47,575
Shit.
1542
01:59:08,600 --> 01:59:10,261
Darrow!
1543
01:59:11,637 --> 01:59:13,571
Open up!
1544
01:59:16,475 --> 01:59:18,136
Come on.
1545
01:59:18,210 --> 01:59:20,007
Open up! [Grunts]
1546
01:59:48,707 --> 01:59:51,540
Hey, you mothe-e-e-er!
1547
01:59:59,017 --> 02:00:02,453
[Groaning]
1548
02:00:05,791 --> 02:00:09,454
[Grunting]
1549
02:00:25,043 --> 02:00:28,376
Oh, I'm gonna get you now, baby.
1550
02:00:31,183 --> 02:00:33,777
Okay.
1551
02:00:35,154 --> 02:00:37,554
Got ya. I got you, baby.
1552
02:00:37,623 --> 02:00:39,955
Come on.
1553
02:00:40,025 --> 02:00:44,621
[Groaning, Screaming]
1554
02:00:57,276 --> 02:00:59,369
****er!
1555
02:01:00,880 --> 02:01:03,474
[Grunting]
1556
02:01:13,659 --> 02:01:15,490
[Groans]
1557
02:01:25,271 --> 02:01:29,833
Red Thunder strike leader.Time on target: Seven minutes.
1558
02:01:33,179 --> 02:01:36,979
[Grunting]
1559
02:01:46,159 --> 02:01:50,061
English prick. [Grunts] I tell you my old man was Irish?
1560
02:01:52,899 --> 02:01:55,697
Maintain air speed 4-5-0 knots.
1561
02:01:55,768 --> 02:01:58,862
[Grunting]
1562
02:02:00,306 --> 02:02:02,467
- [Thud]
- Aw, ****!
1563
02:02:09,615 --> 02:02:12,482
[Gasping]
1564
02:02:21,627 --> 02:02:24,221
It's me and you, pal!
1565
02:02:24,297 --> 02:02:26,925
I want that ****ing chip!
1566
02:02:36,375 --> 02:02:38,309
I love pressure.
1567
02:02:45,618 --> 02:02:48,985
I know you're in here, and I know you can hear me.
1568
02:02:49,055 --> 02:02:52,047
Now pay the piper and come out like a man.
1569
02:03:04,036 --> 02:03:07,802
[Yells, Grunts]
1570
02:03:07,874 --> 02:03:10,775
[Groaning]
1571
02:03:10,843 --> 02:03:13,403
[Grunting Continues]
1572
02:03:19,886 --> 02:03:24,016
Increase speed to 5-0-0 knots.
1573
02:03:24,090 --> 02:03:27,491
You mother****er! [Yelling]
1574
02:03:27,560 --> 02:03:29,960
[Gasping, Groaning]
1575
02:03:31,530 --> 02:03:35,523
I'm gonna choke my million bucks out of you! You're gonna die!
1576
02:03:35,601 --> 02:03:38,502
- Eat that, you ****er!
- [Grunts]
1577
02:03:38,571 --> 02:03:43,201
[Choking, Gasping]
1578
02:03:54,120 --> 02:03:56,680
[Grunts]
1579
02:04:00,326 --> 02:04:03,090
[Groaning]
1580
02:04:06,866 --> 02:04:10,393
All right, team inbound.Time on target: 60 seconds.
1581
02:04:14,373 --> 02:04:18,332
On course heading 1-4-2 degrees.
1582
02:04:26,085 --> 02:04:28,246
[Anderson's Voice]
When he neutralizes the threat...
1583
02:04:28,321 --> 02:04:31,415
we launch green flares and we wait for the cavalry.
1584
02:04:36,162 --> 02:04:37,823
Let's tighten up that formation.
1585
02:04:37,897 --> 02:04:39,888
May God have mercy on your souls.
1586
02:04:39,966 --> 02:04:43,163
Please don't let this happen.There has to be something you can do. Please.
1587
02:04:48,307 --> 02:04:51,367
[Grunting, Groaning]
1588
02:04:53,813 --> 02:04:56,873
Let's drop to the deck,100 feet below radar.
1589
02:05:06,959 --> 02:05:09,393
Target acquired.Rolling in.
1590
02:05:09,462 --> 02:05:12,659
[Groans]
1591
02:05:12,732 --> 02:05:15,565
This is Red Thunder.Master arm.
1592
02:05:15,634 --> 02:05:17,932
Master armed.
1593
02:05:18,004 --> 02:05:20,529
Time on target: 12 seconds.
1594
02:05:23,042 --> 02:05:26,170
- T.O. T: Ten seconds.
- Please.
1595
02:05:30,282 --> 02:05:32,216
Stay tight, gentlemen.
1596
02:05:34,453 --> 02:05:36,944
I got green smoke.I got green smoke!
1597
02:05:37,023 --> 02:05:40,322
This is CQ-1, CQ-1. Green smoke!We have green smoke, over!
1598
02:05:40,393 --> 02:05:42,657
- Gimme that, gimme that! Abort!
- Abort!
1599
02:05:42,728 --> 02:05:45,492
- Flight leader, abort, abort!
- Jesus Christ!
1600
02:05:47,700 --> 02:05:50,362
- I already dropped 'em.
- [Screaming]
1601
02:05:59,345 --> 02:06:01,210
Oh, goddamn it!
1602
02:06:02,348 --> 02:06:05,340
Oh, my God.
1603
02:06:05,418 --> 02:06:09,081
Get out of my way.Let me through, please.
1604
02:06:12,158 --> 02:06:17,425
The cells did not get hit.The bombs hit on the back of the island.
1605
02:06:38,517 --> 02:06:41,953
- [Grunting, Gasping]
- I'm fed up saving your ass.
1606
02:06:42,021 --> 02:06:44,455
I'm amazed you ever got past puberty.
1607
02:06:44,523 --> 02:06:49,586
I suppose all this will make a great bedtime story to tell your kid.
1608
02:06:49,662 --> 02:06:52,597
You're insane, Mason.The kid'll have nightmares.
1609
02:06:52,665 --> 02:06:54,997
I'll spend all my money on shrinks.
1610
02:06:55,067 --> 02:07:00,630
Goodspeed, come in.Goodspeed, do you read me? Come in.
1611
02:07:00,706 --> 02:07:02,697
Scanning all radio frequencies.
1612
02:07:02,775 --> 02:07:05,039
Goodspeed, do you read me? Come in.
1613
02:07:05,111 --> 02:07:09,070
Goodspeed, do you read me? Come in.
1614
02:07:14,320 --> 02:07:17,983
Goodspeed? Do you read me? Come in.
1615
02:07:18,057 --> 02:07:20,082
This is Goodspeed.
1616
02:07:22,294 --> 02:07:25,695
Are the hostages alive?
1617
02:07:25,764 --> 02:07:27,755
Every one of 'em.
1618
02:07:27,833 --> 02:07:30,461
[Cheering]
1619
02:07:30,536 --> 02:07:35,064
Goodspeed, it's Womack.What about Mason?
1620
02:07:42,581 --> 02:07:44,515
He's dead, sir.
1621
02:07:44,583 --> 02:07:48,451
- How? When?
- Just come and get me.
1622
02:07:50,923 --> 02:07:52,948
Womack tore up your pardon, John.
1623
02:07:53,025 --> 02:07:56,688
[Chuckles] But of course.I knew he would.
1624
02:07:56,762 --> 02:08:00,198
The S.D.U. S and the scuba gear should still be where we came ashore.
1625
02:08:00,266 --> 02:08:02,928
If you can get to the Pan Pacific Hotel...
1626
02:08:03,002 --> 02:08:06,028
there's clothes in my closet and $200 in the Bible.
1627
02:08:06,105 --> 02:08:08,039
Room 26.
1628
02:08:08,107 --> 02:08:12,510
It's been a long time since I've said thank you to anybody.
1629
02:08:12,578 --> 02:08:14,603
But thank you.
1630
02:08:16,782 --> 02:08:21,617
Well, Stanley, this is when we go our separate ways, huh?
1631
02:08:23,289 --> 02:08:27,692
Uh... I'm sure you know the etymology of your name, "Goodspeed."
1632
02:08:27,760 --> 02:08:32,220
Yeah, "Godspeed." To wish someone a prosperous journey. Why?
1633
02:08:32,298 --> 02:08:35,927
Well, if you fancy a journey...
1634
02:08:36,001 --> 02:08:39,266
I recommend Fort Walton, Kansas.
1635
02:08:39,338 --> 02:08:41,431
I was thinking of Maui.
1636
02:08:41,507 --> 02:08:43,441
No.
1637
02:08:48,180 --> 02:08:51,149
Forget Maui.
1638
02:08:56,522 --> 02:09:00,049
"St. Michael's Church,Fort Walton, Kansas.
1639
02:09:00,125 --> 02:09:03,117
"Front pew, right leg.
1640
02:09:03,195 --> 02:09:05,459
Hollow."
1641
02:09:05,531 --> 02:09:08,830
Is this what I think it is?
1642
02:09:10,402 --> 02:09:12,802
Mason?
1643
02:09:26,118 --> 02:09:28,052
Congratulations, Dr. Goodspeed.You did it.
1644
02:09:28,120 --> 02:09:30,054
Thank you, sir.
1645
02:09:30,122 --> 02:09:33,455
You know, for a while there,I didn't think you were gonna make it.
1646
02:09:33,525 --> 02:09:37,188
Well done, son.So, where's Mason?
1647
02:09:37,263 --> 02:09:41,393
Vaporized.Blown out to sea.
1648
02:09:41,467 --> 02:09:43,833
Blown out to sea, huh?
1649
02:09:43,902 --> 02:09:46,234
Yeah.
1650
02:09:46,305 --> 02:09:48,239
Poor bastard.
1651
02:09:51,577 --> 02:09:54,011
Goodspeed, where's Mason? Where's his body?
1652
02:09:54,079 --> 02:09:56,570
I wanna see that son of a bitch.
1653
02:09:56,649 --> 02:09:59,641
Vaporized, sir.Excuse me, gentlemen.
1654
02:09:59,718 --> 02:10:05,020
What? Vaporized? A body can vaporize?
1655
02:10:05,090 --> 02:10:08,423
Oh, yeah.Absolutely, sir.
1656
02:10:10,562 --> 02:10:13,725
[Stanley] St. Michael's Church.
1657
02:10:13,799 --> 02:10:16,734
Front pew, right leg.Front pew, right leg.
1658
02:10:16,802 --> 02:10:19,327
[Man Shouting] Vandals! Vandals!
1659
02:10:19,405 --> 02:10:21,669
Oh, yes, baby, come on!
1660
02:10:21,740 --> 02:10:25,574
- Stop! Vandals! Stop!
- I'm sorry.
1661
02:10:25,644 --> 02:10:28,545
- Come on, baby!
- I've got it. Okay, let's go!
1662
02:10:28,614 --> 02:10:31,913
- Stop! Stop!
- Sorry!
1663
02:10:31,984 --> 02:10:35,249
Stop! Hey, hey, you!
1664
02:10:37,256 --> 02:10:40,248
- Vandals! Vandals!
- [Panting]
1665
02:10:40,326 --> 02:10:45,282
