Apparently, the US has already come under attack and the nation's capital has been moved to Boston and the New York Stock Exchange is now...in Chicago. CIA, FBI, NSA and Pentagon have all been relocated to likely secret locations, and there's an implication that nuclear attacks have been involved or may play a part in the game's storyline.
