Electronic Arts revealed today a new online mode for FIFA 09 called "Clubs," which let you form or join clubs of up to 50 friends and field their strongest team when competing in Be A Pro, the 20-player mode that lets you create your own team of up to 10 friends (all playing fixed outfield positions) to challenge rival teams of up to 10 players. Here is an explanation on how the Clubs mode works: FIFA 09 Clubs will determine the best virtual team in the world. Clubs are ranked based on total points and placed in a division. Clubs are relegated and promoted to different divisions based on their performance during the season. In addition, FIFA 09 Clubs will enable Club Managers to scout rival players to identify a player that fits his or her squad, and then recruit them to join their club. Up to 10 players on a Club can participate in a single game and Clubs are able to play multiple games simultaneously if they wish. Additionally, Electronic Arts announced that a full playable demo of FIFA Soccer 09 will be available for downloada tomorrow. In the demo, play as Chelsea, AC Milan, Schalke 04, Olympique de Marseille, Real Madrid or Toronto FC (MLS) and discover a football experience that matches the complexity, finesse and beauty of the real-world game before it ships to stores world wide in October. In addition to playing an exhibition match, the FIFA Soccer 09 demo enables new gamers to FIFA to practice in the Arena and view tips on basic or advanced gameplay techniques. The Xbox 360 and PS3 demos also enable gamers to adjust and customize tactical settings through the feature innovation Custom Team Tactics.
