利用一根自制的线连接wii和pc,用pc来完成IC的功能

WAB just released the sourcecode for the WabModcheap - an application which lets you run your backups without installing a modchip. You can connect your Wii to your PC (using a selfmade cable) and then use the application to simulate a modchip.

连接线制作方法
感谢echo1978的翻译

需要db-25插座，和2个二级管，然后一些导线

1脚接一个二极管的负极（有黑色线标的）
14脚接一个二级管的负极
18脚接线
11脚接线

在ic3001附近找到焊盘符号
- 1 -
2 3 4
- 5 6

1脚的二极管正极接焊盘4
14脚的二级管正极接焊盘6
11脚接焊盘3
18脚接GND

p3001，最右边的焊盘是GND
从右数第三个焊盘也是GND

线做好后用万用表测量一下

运行./dvdtool -r 0x8000 在root mode
什么是root mode？
如果看到十六进制数
那么你就成功了
否则就要检查线，还有是否在root mode（还是不明白）
还有就是parport0 和ppdev驱动是否安装正确
（估计是在linux下运行的）

我了解一些linux,我刚才下载上面的文件看了一下。大概的过程总结一下：
第一步，按照楼上说的把硬件接好。硬件所需的2极管和db-25插座（也就是串口打印机接电脑这一端的接头）都非常容易买到。整体成本不超过20元人民币。
第二步：打开计算机。根据软件的说明，这是一个开源软件，首先是在linux测试成功的，在linux上是100%成功。不过软件包里已经有在windows下编译好的文件了。也就是说我们不需要linux了。
第三步：打开 wii
第四步：运行从软件包里解压缩出来的“WabModcheap.exe” 文件。需要在dos窗口下运行。
第五步：在wii里选择运行游戏，放入刻录盘
第七步：游戏！

根据我的知识，这个东西做成嵌入式linux的难度为 0 ,大家用的宽带路由器里面就是嵌入式linux，如果做成宽带路由器模式的话，通过网卡还可以随时升级。整体价格应该和宽带路由器相当。也就是100元左右。
Making the datacable

In order to make the datacable, you need only a few basic items. A DB-25 connector, two diodes, and some cable. Connect the diodes in reverse (so, PC ---|<--- Wii) to the DB-25 connector, to pins 1 and 14. Just connect some wires to pins 18 and 11, these will be the GND and output wires. The other two dioded wires are clock and input. Now, open your Wii, remove the DVD drive, and turn it over. Look for the following pattern near IC3001 (http://wiire.org/Wii/console/disc_drive):

3 is SBO1 (Output)
4 is SBT1 (CLK)
6 is SBI1 (Input)

With the numbers being pads, and - being nothing. Now, solder the wire from pin 1 to pad 4 (CLK line). Pin 14 goes to pad 6, and pin 11 goes to pad 3. Just find a suitable place to attach the wire from pin 18, which is GND. (Placing the board so you can read the writing on IC3001, look at connector P3001, the rightmost pad is GND and the third from the right is GND). Check your solder connections with a multimeter, then close up your Wii, and issue the ./dvdtool -r 0x8000 command in root mode. If you see hexadecimal numbers, congratulations! If you don't, check the proper functioning of your cable, wether or not you're in root mode, and if the parport0 and ppdev drivers are properly installed.

这个版本据说把该软件放入sd卡，就可以直接运行了

SYNDiCATE´s drivecode by WAB

Includes the code which is injected by Wii_DVD_Tool_ISO_Loader_0.2_WinALL-SYNDiCATE into the Wii memory.

这软件是个EXE文件，用法：

1/ turn ON your WII
2/ run WabModcheap(.exe)
3/ Insert disc when it ask
4/ Play

当然不能仍在Wii的SD卡槽运行，Wii又不是跑的X86版WindowsXP

原理就是因为直读的编码被公开了，然后用pc来执行直读芯片需要完成的工作
