- DF covering single player coverage only. Note that MP performance may not be identical.
- Options: Graphical Quality or Performance.
- Performance mode also retains various improvements over PS4 Pro version ala Quality mode.
- Load times are significantly quicker on PS5.
- Menu to game in an example takes 4 seconds on PS5, and 1 min+ on PS4 Pro
PS5 Performance Mode:
- PS4 Pro ran at 4k to 1440p checker boarded in High Quality mode.
- PS5 Performance mode runs at a similar scale to PS4 Pro's Quality mode, retains 4K CB more often but can drop in combat.
- Both PS5 modes have higher resolution textures over PS4 Pro including better texture streaming.
- Texture filtering still not the highest quality on either PS5 mode.
- Both PS5 versions have higher resolution particle effects compared to PS4 Pro.
- Water rendering has been completely overhauled, given 3D geometry w/ SSR and sub surface scattering.
- Shadow resolution, DoF and post process resolution seems the same between PS4 Pro and PS5 Performance Mode
- A DoF bug was noted by Digital Foundry and notified to Nixxess.
- Performance mode generally keeps 60 FPS but can see momentary spikes in frame time during cut-scenes.
- Can also have some minor dips and drops but they are infrequent and recover quickly.
PS5 High Quality Mode:
- High Quality mode on PS5 takes 30 FPS non-CB dynamic 4K.
- PS5 HQ mode improves post process resolution, shadow maps, DoF and better shadow filtering.
- PS5 HQ also adds screen space shadows.
- Screen space reflection quality and appearance also improved.
- HQ mode also has enhanced draw distance, which isn't too obvious.
- And finally, enhanced destruction. More particles on destruction with physical properties.
- Sticks to 30 FPS with only 1 frame time dip encountered by DF in their testing.
- Alex recommends the 60 FPS mode as the way to play.

- The 3 versions have 2 display modes: 4K / 30FPS (1440p on S Series) and some improved settings or variable 4K at 60FPS (1080p on S Series).
- 4K / 30FPS mode has slight improvement in reflections, textures, particles, draw distance and shadows.
- In 4K / 30FPS mode they all experience some small drops in resolution, although they keep the target set most of the time, especially Series X.
- In FPS mode, for the first few minutes of the game, the PS5 resolution varies between 3840x2160 and 2560x1440p, but as soon as we get to the Quinjet and start missions with more open and loaded spaces, the usual resolution becomes dynamic 1920x2160p, while on X Series it stays at dynamic 3840x1836p. In this case, there is a clear advantage in the Xbox version.
- In FPS mode, Series X maintains a higher draw distance.
- Slightly better loading times on PS5.
- The framerate is quite stable in both modes, slightly better on PS5. 作者: peaceland 时间: 2021-3-19 16:55

DF: Marvel's Avengers: Xbox Series X|S vs PS5 - Image Quality, Performance Analysis + More https://youtu.be/OxHygZqWG9Q
-PS5 and Series X both target 4k.
-PS5 is checkerboard rendering, while Series X is native.
-Both still use dynamic resolution scaling.
-Owing to its checkerboard solution, PS5's UI scales with resolution.
-PS5 has post-process elements that operate at a much lower resolution.
-All together, PlayStation 5 in performance mode has more obvious image quality concessions that become more evident as the effects work scales up.
-The game is clearer on Series X in performance mode due to these differences in how resolution is composed and how post-processing is delivered.
-PlayStation 5 can hold 60fps a little tighter than the Xbox consoles during intense destruction.
-A loading segment that took over a minute on PS4 Pro resolves in four seconds on PlayStation 5 rising to around six seconds on Series X.
Series S:
-Quality mode is 1440p/30fps locked. Lacks some visual features compared to the PS5 and Series X.
-Performance mode varies between 720-1080p/60fps. Further visual cutbacks.
