        Reports emerged on Tuesday morning speculating that Real Madrid had agreed a Euro 38 million transfer fee with Valencia for the services of David Villa.
However, Los Blancos' director-general, Jorge Valdano, refused toconfirm the story, while ‘El Guaje’ himself showed no signs ofdistraction when he rattled in a stunning first-half hat-trick for Spain in a friendly against Azerbaijan just hours after the news broke.
Following the game, which La Furia Roja won 6-0, Villa was againquestioned by the media over the possible switch to the SantiagoBernabeu.
“I trust my agent. He is the one who talks about these transfer issues,” he told Radio Marca programme ‘La Futboleria’.
“I have spent eight years with my representative and nothing has ever bothered me because he knows what I want.
“At present, I have a contract with Valencia and if they want to sell me or another club wants to buy me, they will have to come to an agreement.”
