[碰就痒] 炸鸡哥称自己还能再踢几年,踢到四十多岁

Simone Inzaghi has revealed that his brother Filippo has no intention of retiring from the game this summer as the veteran striker believes that he can continue playing at the highest level into his forties.

The World Cup 2006 winner's current contract with AC Milan expires this summer and his release is expected to be confirmed in the coming days.

There has been some speculation that 'Super Pippo', who has been plagued by injuries this season, might ultimately decide to call time on his illustrious career, but his sibling Simone is in no doubt that the 38-year-old forward will carry on.

“Pippo is still physically fit and knows he can play on for a couple more years," the younger Inzaghi told Tuttomercatoweb. “Managed in the right way he can still give so much to football.

“This year he had expected to play a bit more, but, in saying that, he was recovering from a very bad injury.

“He’s not decided on his future yet, but he is aware that he can still give so much to the game.”

Simone is now hoping that his big brother is given a big send-off in the Rossoneri's final game of the Serie A season, against Novara at San Siro on Sunday.

“Pippo has made history with Milan and is genuinely impacted by his departure," the former Lazio attacker explained.

"He is grateful to the Rossoneri for what they have done, but I think there is also gratitude from the club and the fans for him too."

The elder Inzaghi arrived at the Giuseppe Meazza from Juventus in 2001 and has scored 125 goals in 296 appearances for the Rossoneri
