Dante won't be playing the main role in Devil May Cry 4. Instead, a character named Nero (who resembles both Dante and Vergil) will be the main character. He is part of the Kyōdan Kishi (Order of Knights) and has psychokinetic powers which are just awakening in the game (described by a developer as the "Devil Bringer"). Nero does resemble Dante greatly, but his attire consists of blue jeans, a long blue coat, and a red vest (the TGS trailer shows Nero in a red coat like Dante's) He also wields a revolver, named Blue Rose, (the revolver with the distinctive under and over double barrel resembles the revolver than Dan Smith in the Capcom game Killer 7 acquires during the progress of that game) as opposed to pistols and he wields a slightly more decorative, single-edged sword called the Red Queen. Nero's arm also seems to resemble a demon's and glows supernaturally. This is actually where his Devil Bringer power comes from. Nero hates Dante, as he killed the leader of the Order.
