家用机史上最速，澳大利亚地区Wii销量突破10万台

And now, 6 months after its launch, it has broken through the 100,000 install base mark, making it the fastest selling console to reach the milestone in Australia.

"We are pleased that Wii has achieved this benchmark, but we are ecstatic that it attained this whilst also reaching new audiences and expanding the scope of our entire industry," explained Rose Lappin, Director of Sales and Marketing. "We promised we would bring gaming to the masses, I think this is proof that we are heading in the right direction."

ロンチも過去最高、10万台に達するまでの時間も過去最速。オセアニア地域を統括する任天堂オーストラリアは、過去の家庭用ゲーム機の中で最速のスピードでWiiの販売台数が10の万台に到達したと発表しました(データは独立系調査機関GfKの調べ)。

「私たちはWiiがこのようなマイルストーンに達した事を嬉しく思います。そしてまた多くの新しいユーザーを引き付け、ゲーム業界全体を広げることができた事を誇りに思っています。任天堂はゲームを大衆にもたらすと約束し、それは今の所正しい方向に進めていると思います」とセールス&マーケティングディレクターのRose Lappin氏は述べています。

ちなみに5月の段階でのXbox360の売上は16万台、PS3の売上は3万6000台でした。
