Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Map Pack Dated for PSN

While Activision and Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Map Pack may have already sold 2.5 million copies on Xbox Live, PlayStation 3 owners are still anxiously waiting for a release date after Microsoft secured a timed exclusive on the pack.

Via Twitter not long ago, Infinity Ward's Robert Bowling decided to put PlayStation 3 Modern Warfare 2 owners out of their misery and declared that the Stimulus Map Pack would be coming the first week in May.

Bowling stated, "The Modern Warfare 2 Stimulus Package DLC will hit PS3 in North America on May 4th, everywhere else May 5th. PC gets it worldwide on May 4th."

I make that a Tuesday/Wednesday release... which goes against the usual Thursday update formula, but hey, that's the official word from Infinity Ward. Maybe Sony have decided to change their policy because they realised having only one update day a week is ridiculous. Maybe Activision thinks it's too big of a release to get lumped in with the rest of the content. Who knows? We certainly don't.

The 5 map Stimulus Map Pack is coming May 4th/5th. Chances are it'll cost $14.99.
