More PS3 Titles Require Firmware Update
A couple first-party titles and a racer now included on the update
list.

November 3, 2006 - Just as we'd reported earlier today regarding
Madden NFL 07, we've discovered that three more launch titles will
require a firmware update before you'll be able to play them. Much
like what happens with the PSP, you'll see an alert that says you
must upgrade to a newer firmware version before playing.

Genji: Days of the Blade, Ridge Racer 7 and Resistance: Fall of Man
will all require a system update to version 1.02. The update ships on
the disc so that you won't need to be online to download anything,
but you should of course be able to update before the games.com. by
hopping online.

前不久本站曾经为大家报道过部分PS3游戏的运行需要配合系统升级的消息，其形式类似于索尼目前在PSP上采取的定期系统升级。最初被确定需要系统升级才能使用的PS3游戏是EA公司的《麦登橄榄球 07（Madden NFL 07）》，而最近，我们又得到了索尼官方的确认，另有3款游戏也被判明需要对应PS3系统升级。
    这三款游戏分别是由SCE第一方发行的《源氏 神威奏乱（美版名为“剑刃之日”）》和《反抗 灭绝人类》，以及由Bandai Namco Games开发的《山脊赛车7》。这三款游戏都需要1.02或更高版本的系统才能运行。如果在低于这个系统版本的PS3上运行这些游戏，系统会自动发出警告，提醒玩家在游戏之前必须将系统升级到指定的版本。因此玩家要想玩到这些游戏，必须通过网络下载或DVD等存储介质来安装升级程序。
